Would have been nice to see harder songs in here (and better song choice too. Come on, Freak Out? Terrible song!), but then again this is only a tiny version of the game. The full version on the FFR site is much better.

No offense, but what's the point of yet another DDR clone? I played Stepmania, an amazing open source DDR clone, for years before I ever heard of this. I'm not trying to be a hater, but it would be nice to see some originality instead of clone after clone after clone.

Thanks guys for the positives... We're contemplating putting the full version of FFR up, for a short period of time, just to shoot down the haters... but who knows if/when we'll actually do that.
Also, if you're curious... my all-time scores are the max possible on 9/10 of the songs. I have 1 good on The Wanderer here, which is 275 points off the max.
The lag, if there is some, isn't our fault... it's Kong's for either sending/receiving data through the chat OR from the ads. Not sure which, but one of those is the causes. Nothing we can do about that.

Just go to the main site, go into the classic genre in the game, and click on Death Piano if you want to see the hardest song available to the public :P

The point of a widget is to be an easier version of FFR which gets people interested in the game. While FFR may choose to put harder songs into widgets if they really take off, most of the people on Kongregate go "ZOMG ARROWZ I DUN GET IT!!"
Also, for anybody who still thinks that this game is a ripoff of SCGMD2 - you're retarded. This game is nothing like SCGMD2. Not only is SCG easy as hell [I perfected every song in three hours], but FFR actually requires timing and rhythm. The avg-good-perfect rankings require precise timing and make it easy to distinguish those who are actually good at the game from those who can hit an arrow when it's on the screen. If you visit the home website, you'll notice that these songs are not by any means difficult compared to the normal songs - these are downright easy, in fact. And if you think your precious SCG isn't a ripoff of Guitar Hero and other similar games, you're also a retard.

i'm an old FFR junkie, so i of course loved the game.
the music choice was ok, "wandering man" is EPIC AS HELL.

hmm didnt like the music to start with, rather anoying. So was the text that kept flashing and distracting me. Also at the end of the day your only pressing 4 buttons for the whole game repeatedyy which was boring :(

There's an entire keyboard to work with and people that make these games have to use the arrow keys that aren't in a nice row to place fingers on easier. Why?

my advice for those who love this game, download stepmania (google it). it's free, and you can download all the songs you want at the database of ffr's site. you can also download new themes, announsers, arrows, the list goes on, but its a fun program. you can even hook up a ddr pad to the pc if you have a USB converter for it and play away on that.
