A realy funny Bug. I started and as i build up speed (staring animation) there was another Pipe crosswise through my pipe. I was pushed away from the straid line into a corner and died ba "GO".
This hapend 2 times in a row and by the 3. try The game window go dark but i alwas was bild up speed to 925 (starting speed 900) then i died and in the middle of the screen stand "No Escape"

You should make Gold atom colide with Lead atom . Make another ball go opposite direction against you would be much more challenging . Just don't create QGP .
That's up to Kongregate staff to add - but I'm not recording your high score like that... so right now you wouldn't be able to get badges for reaching specific speeds.

Alright! 1000 speed! Love the new start speed setting. 100-800 is never a problem with me. Mainly 900+, so you set the max at a perfect spot.

Tene, I've just rated a game 5/5 for the first time. I've felt, and still feel, that a perfect score requires some special something above and beyond just a great game. Accelerator is a very fun game, but that's not why it rates so highly with me. Your attention and attitude here in the comments put you into a category above and beyond any other developer. You rock! <3

Yesterday I was in top 30 with my score around 1030. I started game today and I was 180th... It seems that new feature isn't only making starting game faster, but also it really helps in getting high scores. I rise my own score to 1247 - it would be too much to take in "old' game, but now - with enough time, luck and will - I feel like I can rise my score as much as I like. I just need many tries - and I will get my next "milestone" and start from another speed.
It doesn't look balanced - I think starting with half of maximum speed would be okay but you chose this option... Well, I don't think I will be playing for high score any more - game mechanics changed so much with this addition, that I will stay with old style of game. Maybe most of people will like this feature... or you will balance it in way it won't affect real highscores. Anyway, great game
The game is definitely evolving, and only through feedback such as this can I make better judgments as to how to deal with certain things - so while it might not change immediately, please believe that I've taken your comment on board :)

I found a bug. As I played the red part with holes go smaler was turn around. So I flew in the little hole and it go larger

Do you mean about adding extra light and such to make it more like a Star Gate scene? Prettifying it like that is currently of lower priority than fixing the random-appear-items stuff people are seeing :) And... you can call me Tene :)

I don't get it i have full sensitivity i turn to quick i have sensitive just below i turn to slow.... And i have just random objects appearing :S

Add a second area/texture pack after speed 1000?
With harder obsticles? Also, make sure the change is gradual, from 1000 to 1200

I said ''that's a great game'' and gave 5/5. Because it was fun and that leader board just keeps you playing. An hour later, I played it again, this time with the mouse sensivity function. A day later, i could set my speed at start and lots of bugs were gone. And still, lots of comments are being considered. It's good to see a responsible developer. :) There are still some bugs though, like some dissappearing obstacles. Anywan, again, a great game.

Whoever came up with the idea of starting at a higher speed is a genius. But on that note, I would think it logical that once you reach X00 you start at X00(ex. reach 801, can start at 800), not needing to get to the next hundred to get the previous hundred(ex. reach 800 start at 700). On another not the "accept" button in the options menu seems to be a bit buggy. To get it to register my mouse needs to be actually a little above or below it instead of directly on it.
As the game is still in development I'm sure a lot of the ways I do things will change, I'm certainly taking on board all the suggestions :) So I'll revisit the 'initial speed' thing sometime :) As for the Accept button, I just noticed it's broken so will fix soon :D

My only other complaint, is that once i break 1000.. I notice im catching edges.. 3-4 dot widths off of the actual edge of the obstacle.. Obviously this is hard to deal with at high speeds and rendering persay "Hit Boxes" But outside the Random Dead ends, Turns that lead into forced obstacles.. (sharp turn with a rotating object, the opening being on the inside/hidden part of the corner) Love it.. very addictive (Currently Rank 31) and suffering from "One More Level Syndrome"
It's hard to see how wide your 'self' is in the game, so that may be the issue - believe me I'm playing it over and over atm to sort these issues out :)

@nikopol & silmarilen - I have seen something very similar to what nikopol describes. Very rarely I see what looks like a solid red barrier ahead of me, then it disappears and something else (or open space) is there. Rarely, but only seen at high speeds (700+), a corridor suddenly changes shape and color. I have crashed because of this - usually from surpise than because it was directly ahead. We probably all play with different sorts of computers, as well as maybe different quality settings - perhaps that affects various visual differences for each of us?

@nikopol: that one about the blue rooms is not true, i never had that problem. maybe your reaction speed just isnt high enough. everybody has a limit.

"current rank" during a game seems to be off by one if your current score is higher then your best. You end up with your current rank wrapping around to 6535(current bottom rank) if you're current score is better then number 1.

Note to dev: after 800 rendering errors show up sometimes: like a red obstacle mixed with blue and black, or a completely black (invisible) obstacle which I can't see till I actually hit it.
Anyways I love the game.
Couple of comments: would be nice if you could put a limit on how many turns in a row are rendered cause I end up at 900+ speed with like 4 turns in a row and in the same general direction which put me and my mouse in a position which no mouse sensitivity can help.
Also, after 900, in the blue rooms it becomes too hard to tell the difference between the first panel and the one after if they have different openings, so it would be great if you could do something to increase visibility.....like making consecutive panels in 2 shades of red rather than just the one that's in now.
Well, that's it for me for now, made it in the top 150 so I'm currently satisfied. will try to get into the top 100 later (my eyes need rest). Cheers

Oh wow, I love this new improved version MUCH better than the last, and I loved the last!
Here's my new feature request - I want to be able to click a mouse button and stop accelerating. I know that is... iconoclastic for Accelerator game! But here's the thing - each of us has an approximate speed that pushes our skills to near the breaking point. As is, the game flies us through that point and ever onwards - we soon crash. But if we could stop the speed increase and just sail onwards at our own personal sweet spots - the addictive quality of the game might be increased for a good number of players, including myself. Competitively, this would not hinder score rankings - you already reached the score you choose to stay at, so you have already "won" that ranking, and just dont improve until you click again and start to speed up again. Thanks for considering the idea! And for all the incredible changes you've already made to this sweet game!

ROFL I was at 459MPH then my mouse hovered over Firefox and the window popped up b/c its Win7 and I crashed. AWESOME GAME.
