Yes - in the inventory window, hit Q to toggle the star on the selected item. There's a small note about this, but I'll make it more clear by adding a star to the notification.

Wait, I just got a red gem for killing the big dragon inside the mountain cave... but what does it do? I thought it might protect me when i broke those magma/lava blocks, but it didn't do it either... welp, I guess I'll save the game for now, and come back at a later update :P

I love this game, in fact I've completed it multiple times, coming back with each update. But I gotta ask, what's the fire gem for?
We'll be adding more achievements and fixing up quests after the next update, as they are getting out of date with all the updates. Yeti fur can be turned into ice arrows or ice shields at the laboratory.

The rusty axe cannot hurt enemies as it has no attack power (it can only cut down trees). I'll change the message from a "miss" to a "blocked" so it's clearer. Any other weapon will work.

Hey, I really liked the overall game design. Good job frequently feeding new mechanics without overloading the player. I'd like to float some ideas: I feel like there's a lot to grow in a subtle rpg-ish way that could be unlocked upon reaching the second island, simple stuff such as every time you level up you could choose a main stat instead a fixed amount of hp or stamina. Quests to kill monsters could increase crit chance, the dodge or speed. No need to go full rpg but these simple nods would be great. Being able to build advanced buildings based on older ones would also be cool, because one of the best parts of the game IMO was the feeling of building a little civilization and modernizing with my pals, with them occasionally gathering resources, another thing that I wish was expanded upon, really makes you appreciate them. So schools, barracks, green houses, generally just rebuilding the civilization that the character one day lived in. Also, riding horses, horses are cool.

I'm definitely going to add some more interesting elements to leveling up, as after about level 5 or 6, it doesn't make a huge difference and the levels are pretty far apart. And, advanced buildings and more options with your colony and NPCs is already planned! Not sure about riding horses, but you will be able to ride a dragon (I told you those baby dragons would be useful one day) :P .
Saves being erased has to do with your browser - if you clear browser history periodically, or a plugin does, then it'll clear the saves too. Disabling cookies also disables saves. Eventually I'll add cloud saves so your saves are safe on a sever, but until then, you can import/export saves (see the game description for details).

there is no use for the fire gem yet!!! the Dev will add it in, anyone confused about the fire birds, lay down a net and use it to capture one, they become chickens, also once you get the baby dragons, thats it, there is no use for them yet other than producing dragon-blood so stop giving out, brilliant game 6/6 ignore the people who are too thick to realise the game is a work in progress

Audio broken in main browser, saves broken in Chrome, controls broken in Firefox. 1/5 because unplayable. Sucks too, was loving it while playing in Chrome until I went back to it and found out saves don't work in Chrome.

Completely agree with the other comment that this game could be put and sold on steam. The quality is just great. Might not have a long playtime, but that doesn't matter. As i enjoyed every minute.

Absolutely love this game! Cant wait to see if there is a progression thing with the ship, going from island to island as you "slowly" tech up, and the whole dragon thing, hope the drop from it is fully implemented soon.

I noticed that when my pick breaks, the camera pans upward like in the beginning of the game, which is really annoying when it happens in battle x_x
Yes, I've noticed this, so in the next update, the pick axe will be replaced with a broken pick axe item when it breaks (so you'll be able to mine dirt slowly, and the camera wont go up).

Anyways, I think I may have stumbled upon a bug. Normally, I take criticals once every now and then. But for some reason, with a shield equipped criticals (the only thing that makes it past a shield) go from like 5% to 30%. This may be luck, or there may be a positioning based thing (like if something is hit in the back it is more likely to be a critical), but it seems odd if the former.

good game overall. A few loose ends, such as materials that have no real use (Titanium), the fish that has no cooking instructions, the fact that you can only take worms out of the pens and you can't replace them with other worms, no real use for the baby dragon (other than it looks more fun than the worms). Other than that.. a few good hours of fun!

Like this game a lot, I hope to see it expanded / a sequel. A couple criticisms are resources in the late game are too plentiful, way more food than I know what t do with, no reason to try to conserve it or use it strategically. Things get too easy in the mid/late game in general, it changes from having t survive to just a grind to gt the next quest done.
Those aside like I said great game.
I want you to have to conserve food in your inventory, but you should have plenty mid to late game in your storehouse that you should never have to worry about having enough to go on your next expedition when you return to the surface. I am planning on adding longer quests/dungeons that will keep you away from your storehouse and maybe add more conservation/strategy that way. I might also make some food heavier so you have to balance its weight vs restoration. I do wonder if Dragonblood is becoming too common, as it's pretty amazing - I might need to lower it's health/stamina restore (and maybe balance the other foods too). Thanks for the suggestion!

congrats, This was 1 of the best games Ive ever played on kongregate.
I finished it 100% killed yeti, dragon, found the fire chickens and so on.
I know that there will be an update but it's hard to wait for it :/

We're actually planning (not for the next few updates, but eventually) to add planting of trees and bushes. But, you never lose the bushes on the top of the mountain... and your city does tend to overwhelm nature :P .
