The only reason why i dislike this game is the weight limit being a tad bit too low (should be 5 higher on each of them) and the bots being stupid.

If I am to tell how I beat Challenge 4: let Shield follow Dragon. Then when they are moving identically, make Sword move in parallel with them. Shield will be able to tank from one side to another side of the field. Try not to get your Sword into 1-on-1 fight with the Dragon. Rinse and repeat. I know it is not as simple as it sounds (took me a lot of rounds), so good luck, friends.

- Soldier, get to that position! - Sure! *3 secounds later, spinning around* - Medic, stand behind me for healing! *goes in middle of fight to get all the damage*

It's funny that this is Bot Arena 3... It's the only one on Kong... I sure hope the other two are out floating on the Internet somewhere...

Despite what others have said, I actually enjoyed this, until the time came when I had too much tech on my 2 bots that I was unable to join any battles

I finished the game...badge didn't register. Take a screenshot and flash crashes. Reload the game and OMFG THE GAME DOESN'T AUTOSAVE!?!?!?! There went one of the 2 stars I gave it. I love the concept, but if this is Bot Arena _3_ (yes, the THIRD attempt), I anxiously await Bot Arena 15.

Lol after complaining about Challenge 4 for 6 years. Today I finished it. And i honestly do not know what I did different. It was 99% luck

Challenge 4 clearly shows everything that's wrong with the game. You can't give commands fast enough and you can't resign half way through a level. For faster commands, use numbers to select the bots and replace the dragging to just clicking.

I came here for badge of the day and found out that I've already earned it since 2007(I forgot this game already). I noticed that I haven't completed that last badge as I need to clear challenge 4 and 5. Now, after trying to make the shield keep following the dragon, I realised why I quit this badge 7 years ago... Maybe I'll give it another try after 7 years.

This game is good in concept, but the AI is so fircking stupid that it is impossble to play. I mean, like, tasks that should be easy, like making them move in a direction, they just spin around for 3 seconds and move a little, and then go charging straight into the enemy. The distractions without weapons don't even work. They are meant to do 1 thing: Soaking the damege. But they don't seem to want to do that at all, and do everything in their power to aviod getting in range of other bots. I have played many rage games, therein unfair mario and super hexagon, I completed both of those without even getting a little bit annoyed. This game takes the cake and is the only game I have played so far that actually succeeded in making me angry. And it is such a shame too, because this game had a lot of potential. The game was ruined by the 'distraction' challenge. Sorry, but it would have been a thousand times better to just remove it completey.

This would be a great game, but the control mechanism is absolutely awful. The challenges go on about how tactics are everything, but it is virtually impossible to actually implement any tactic because there is no method of lasting direction.
Ultimately it comes down to pot luck.

Challenge 4 - Sword died in first 20second, and shield was chasing dragon. I left PC for 5minutes, when i came back shield was still chasing dragon.
Question: What is wrong with that game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there is not an escape button or a pause at least during the challenges.
I have to watch dragon to shoot the shield to restart it in chalenge 4.

I wish there was some sort of explanation on game mechanics, especially when dealing with the challenges, targeting on both sides seems more or less random. You can't actually tell your guys to shoot a target, just to stroll in their general direction. Amazing idea ruined by lack of control and no developer care (Still no restart button, and that's a 10 min fix)

Challenge 4, Sword and Dragons cannons are the same in range limitation and Dragon always shoots the closest except if it is within lower limit. TIP: Set shield on follow and keep sword at its max reach so that when shield is too close you can easily retreat and then come back when shield is following dragon at the closest minimum. You might take make a few attempts before completing it. I managed it in 6 tries after using above technique.

Challenge 4 is pure anoying. Even if you lose your dmg Robot, you must wait until the enemy destroy your Shield Robot...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Terrible game. Didn't even realize they attempted to give control of the robots until 10 minutes in. Robots just drive around shooting randomly. No control and no point. Win half of games at random and lose the other half. Not even worth playing.

The "controls" are bad: with more than 1 robot on the field, it gets really annoying to keep them doing what you want them to do.
Also, there should be some "Stay where You are, Idiot!" button, and some sort of persistence, like telling one to follow another robot. Yeah, and a pause menu, and a restart button, that would be great. Although the game has a potential, for now its a 1/5.

this is worse than using dragoons in starcraft... the game would be pretty interesting if you only had a halfway usuable control system, I think I can see why the creator was thinking it might be a good idea for them to work as guided AI but the AI you get are actively suicidal and pretty much do their best to loose when not under constant supervision from delayed, clumsy, often ineffective controls. Rule 1 of making an involving game is making the player's part of the game belong to the player and it seems like the developer has done all they can to do exactly the opposite and if the challenges are anything to go by they did it with an excellent understanding of the efects of their own mechanics.
