Controls suck. Really suck. This should be a game where skill is required, not endless grinding. Good concept, shit in practice though.

This game is terrible. What fun or strategy is there in selecting the clearly superior upgrades then watching the stupidly inept AI make my bots bumble around, hoping they don't lose?

Thats because guns have certain range on them, if the range is 50-140 then its not going to shoot at point blank range. And as for the people who need help with the controls. Name one robot LEADER and have the other 2 follow him by clicking and dragging the circle on to him. Then after that when you see they need to get in a better position you can just move leader or move the guy following him, then get him following leader again.

Like everyone else said before : The "controls" are awful, interacting with the battles is completely pointless. It's like trying to play a screensaver.

Needs: Better controls. Drag & drop is not a good idea for this. Also desperately needs a tutorial of some sort, instead of just throwing you into the game. Also, to get money to do pretty much anything requires grinding through the same matches again & again. I know it's fairly common in games, but I personally HATE grinding.
And of course as everyone else mentions, better AI. The bots currently have the attention span of a hyperactive gerbil. They'll also be right next to an enemy & not shoot...

Dear everyone complaining about the controls, while they do suck, the game is five years old and the creator's began working on the next game, there's no chance the controls will be fixed for this.

Need a stop bouton (for bots).
Need a better control.
Need my bots not to watchnig each other and trying to turn in same circles (Guys, you won't be able to move ever!).
Need to be able to really manage my team.
Need my bots to understand what I mean...
Need the I in AI.

Jesus christ. What's the point in a shield if the dragon just aims for the sword anyway? Stupid and ignores the target-nearest mechanic you've just been teaching us this whole time. Soon as sword comes in range dragon wrecks him regardless of where shield is.

The game is so-so but there could be several improvements made.. (1) Allow to mount more than one weapon/plating if the weight permits. This will require the player to balance plating and weapons. (2) Make the arena bigger so there's a little space to pull back the ranged bots and takes some effort to push in the high-plated melee bots. (3) Bots could be given pre-defined instructions to be offensive or defensive and the bots would act accordingly -- i.e. berserking or saving health.

Everyone is talking about challenge 4.. does that mean challenges 5 and 6 are doable.. if so I'd love to know how exactly.

mmm i see for challenge 4. Don't have any problems to keep the shield before the sword but the dragon minimum range is horrible.

i disagree with the contol problem, my only problem is that in challenge 4 the enemy dont have 0 minimal range. Great game anyway.:)

Another annoying part is the lack of a 'restart' button. If in challenge 4, for example, the dragon kills my sword first, then i have to patiently wait for him to kill my shield too..

:) It is genuinely quite funny. Why does a robot that can only heal friendly units "close in". Why can't you target their healer robots in any way!

Muahaha, Difficult controls? I'm an old Dune 2 player (before warcraft and before command &conquer). Try clicking on a unit, then on a "move button" on the right then on the place for 40 units. Took me 2 min to understand this one. As for the game, i would like something to sort the inventory and less grinding. Not a bad game.

Finally completed Challenge 4... worst control system ever considering that AI movement is RANDOM. Shield gets too close for sword to attack unnoticed most of the time. Only way I managed it is to set Shield to follow Dragon, then manually control Sword. Keep Sword away from Dragon until it's busy moving in a straight line, shooting Shield. Then, try and move Sword parallel to Dragon, keeping your distance, but within firing range. MASSIVE pain in the neck. I feel the game is getting most of it's plays by people refreshing the page due to this awful challenge.

This game is so flawed its hilarious. Its not just the controls. The interface is awful, but perhaps the worst part is you never are going to have any idea what you are doing. You have no way of telling what your enemies capabilities are before, during or after the battle. So it comes down to trial and error. The battles don't get more strategic as the game progresses, they are all exactly the same, you just have to try and work out which plating and component combo works. As the controls are utterly pointless, that, in the end is all this game offers you. The chance to click "buy" and "mount", then watch the computer play with itself, leaving you just a dirty voyeur wasting their life away.

@jetz5424 - click both the robot and the thing you want to mount so they are both highlighted - but you're right, there are no instructions and its not remotely intuitive

Challenge 4: 95% of the time, you'll save time refreshing the game if Sword gets destroyed compared to trying to maneuver Shield to intentionally get killed. Who adds a mindless "Wander" function to an AI?
