yeah the Sword and Shield challenge isnt all that bad once you know how to do it.. instead of trying to position the shield to follow the enemy or staying in his range. tell the shield to follow the Sword the whole time. get in range with the Shield infront of Sword and just repeat a few times.

Though the AI is bad the challenges aren't quite as horrible as everyone makes them out to be... generally if you have two bots you need to get one to follow the other (shield follow sword, medic follow soldier) and just run around in circles.

Seriously,i tell the sword to follow the shield(For challenge 4) and the sword wants to go and get close to the dragon,than it gets and the way and gets owned.
I also agree that their needs to be a restart button.

Thanks LosMuertos, after I beat it, I beat all the others. And so far (With good piloting, I got a bot with both prize pieces I got (11 wieght miachine gun, and 9 wieght armor) Got him all the way BACK to the Volcanadome, all by himself! He had the 10 wight chassis on. YAY OVERPOWERED EQUIPMENT!

Ziarn make two healer bots (10/4/10 and 10/6/10 were mine) that follow one 15/15/15 bot, if ur running low on hp on any of ur bots try to stay away from the enemies, with some luck u'll get it soon with this setup.

Anybody have any suggestions for Vulcanadome? I have 2 bots with the best equipment at that point (Khacor Electron, Giacorp EG-PR and Circes XT) but one has the Xeroi ZLR-250 for chassis instead. I keep making one follow the top bot, while the other circles around (the Circes XT can't shoot through teammates or corpses) so that it can get some shots off, but one dies before one com, so what do I do? Make 3 weaker bots?

Challenge #4 is stupid. The bots go wherever they want whenever they like and the Shield doesn't work 100% of the time.

Would be nice for the challenges to have a restart option. Especially for number 4. I'm getting tired of waiting for the shield to die. So far. All the challenges proved fairly easy. The only problem I have is number 4 and I have tried both the shield follow dragon as well as the sword follow shield. I keep having the problem of the shield wandering much too close or that the sword becomes the closer of the two once moving the shield back. Or the shield moving too close while moving the sword back before moving the shield. Either way sword seems to kick the bucket first. The AI does bite pretty badly in those terms. May be easier to have on manual for a couple of seconds after reaching destination rather than it switching back over to the standard AI. Or even having a button to turn it off altogether.

Blegh, does someone have a nice tactic on the 'Distract' challenge? I everytime I close in with my sword-bot it gets owned..

One: Norge808, u cant mount it cause you either dont have the plating or there is too much weight on your robot!

the ai and control is way too shitty for the challenges... its pure luck if you complete them, even if you know what to do =/

Game held some promise, but the AI, as others have mentioned are deeply flawed. The challenges really put me at wits end- things like the 'medic' bot suicidally going into the line-of-fire no matter what I tell it! To be frank, I would've of loved the game if one could select a bot to control directly with something like the arrow keys or mouse (not clicking and holding...) Being aware that this is an older game, I would suggest to learn from futures similar but more successful games of the type.

if u beat it at armorgames.com you unlock a really kool but cheap weapon. it does like.. 9k a hit but it fires really slow

are you all noobs challeng 4 is easy, have shield follow dragon adn keep distance, in 2 just circle em, i beat all challenges in under 15 minutes....

Other issues: pathing (robots keep getting stuck at walls), weak interface in bot shop, impossible to let a robot stand still, impossible to self destruct if you lose, game doesn't save challenge progress. AI makes levels either too easy or too hard.
