The AI are so retarded, the game would be better if you didn't even have AI for your own side. It feels like your bots are deliberately trying to get killed.

the control scheme is miserable and makes the challenges unbearably frustrating. there's a ton of randomness in this game and most of the skill is in overcoming the frustruating control scheme.

It sucks that I can't have more than 5 bots. Did I miss a golden chassis in addition to the other golds?
Also, there needs to be a cup with no weight limit.

it only took me like 10 minutes to finish challenge 4, what i did was just make sure i was always just a teeny bit further then the shield and the dragon would shoot the shield
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The bots don't seem to understand that when I tell them to follow something, it means to attack it, regardless of whether or not it's the closest target...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The AI is stupid. For some reason the bots seem to think that movement is 100% necessary, even when they can shoot each other just fine without moving...3/5

i finally beat that damn sword shield dragon challenge got all the badges and the card. now im never gona play this game ever again because it was really bad, ai is really bad, game play is really bad etc. 3/5 because im nice. and the graphics were alright

PS wish we could give games two ratings - one for originality/idea/etc, and one for implementation/polish/etc
Keep finding "great ideas that have been implemented as sucky games" on Kongregate, and would like to rate up the idea but down the buggy, badly implemented, shoddily balanced current version.

here's how to get the card, remember the number one rule:
THIS GAME IS COMPLETELY RANDOM and you have almost no control at all
So ... get as close to the weight limit as you can, save your game, and just keep playing the level you can't beat over and over and over again, and reloading every time you lose.
The statistical variance on outcomes is stupidly high (a typical sign of bad game design in a game where you have so little control over the match once it starts), so a setup that loses 2:1 five times in a row can AND WILL win twice in a row afterwards, with no changes.
(another sign of bad game design - the only scoring system available - how much life the opponent had when they won - is a broken as a score mechanic, as it varies more from random chance than from changes the player makes)

LEVEL 4: make the Shield follow the Dragon while you are controlling the Sword. Keep in mind the Dragon's range: 50-200(?). The 50 means the Dragon cannot attack the Shield even if it's right in the Dragon's face. So when the Shield is right up against the Dragon, you must keep the Sword out of its range or it will attack.
LEVEL 5: The Sniper has a reasonable amount of hitpoints. But the strategy here is to keep it out of the Guards' range. Making trips around the perimeter of the arena and turning after every corner.
This is a really hard one so it's okay if it takes a few tries to do.
LEVEL 6: Make the Soldier follow the Commander all the time, and control the Medic behind the Soldier as a shield -because the Medic has very low hitpoints- making him heal the Soldier. And, the Medic can heal from a decent distance.

Career was very enjoyable, with the sense of progress and customization allowed within the game to fit individual playing styles much appreciated. However, the AI's pathfinding was quite painful in some of the challenges. Continuous short click/dragging, while necessary to keep the bot from wandering off, felt clumsy. Perhaps, if you were to tweak this, allow the player to select a bot via clicking, then keep the bot selected until clicking it again, while any commands issued during that time are still attributed to the bot? Beyond this minor annoyance, its a worthy addition to the genre.

Fun, but I really hate the challenges. I bet the game simply on power and shield, no tactics and I couldn't be bothered learning strategies I didn't need to know.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Without direct keyboard control the opponent in the 'distracting' challenge is too strong, and yes the AI in this game is awful.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't help but agree with most everybody here. The AI kills any fun that existed in the challenges. I liked career mode, but i had to do challenges 2, 4, 5 and 6 like 50 times each before I beat them all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game itself is very fun. I loved the first two and this one is the best but as i played the challenge mode I found all of the flaws in the game. Bad AI and wrost controls gave you a 4/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Still worst AI ever, deliberately designed to make the game painful and ugly.
Is it just me, or are games meant to be FUN???
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Fun but frustrating. Challenge 4 is hard not because of the strategy but because of the controls, which is no fun. My biggest complaint is when the bot turns, say, 300 degrees to turn instead of 60, getting lit up in the process. Overall, quite fun, though.

god....you made the challegnes too hard,i cant best 2 4 and 5,COME ON whats with the horrible gun and armor yet thed foe has really good things!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
challange 4 isnt that hard... make sure your total weight is exactly the MAXIUM total weight have train your guys to kill them one at a time

God this game's AI sucks! I mean i tell the bot to go forward... it goes forward. I tell the bot to keep going in the same direction... it does a 180, heads the wrong way, then after 2/3 of its life is blasted away it finally decides to go in the direction I told it to in the first place. It pisses me off! game: 1/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Anyone who says that the AI is supposed to be bad to make you have to control your own bots is retarded. How the f*** am I supposed to control all of my bots at once with these sucky controls? Even when they are following my controls they still go the wrong way, fire at the wrong place or sometimes don't fire at all when they could be. Bad AI+bad controls=SUCKY!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the reason why everyone lost there save files was because he uploaded a new version with the kong API so it could get badges
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
turning the controls to a mouse-based movement was a complete mistake. The only remotely fun thing about the game is customization, but really, we should be able to move it ourselves and shoot ourselves. Have AI for supporting bots, and a way to switch between them. That would be cool.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've also beat this one before, but I guess the save file went bad or something. It bugs me that you can't have more than 5 bots at a time.
