like said before: 1) really hard to control, 2) even if you manage to click the bot, just after issuing movement, it moves away by itself, 3) bots hit whatever they want, not what i want (again - control!), 4) really poor inventory management (mount/sell too close, to change plating, i have to dismount weapon, etc.). summing up: now: 2/5, after changes - possible 4 or 5

Shield makes me want to punch a baby in the esophagus... seriously, why is wander even in this game? Why not have a stay standby or something?... groan... baby in the esophagus

I'm fine with not being able to directly control the robots, but if only there were better/more consistent AI settings to give them. Could resolve some frustration.

And one could then argue that at end. All you need is one damage and one healer. And pray that your healer isn't retarded.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Here's the strategy I used to beat 4: Set shield to "follow" dragon. Move sword up to start, then back down. This makes dragon try to go above shield and keeps you from damage from the get-go. After that, shield will be too close to dragon for dragon to target it (it won't target if it's too close, either will you). So back away and move as far away as you can from dragon. Eventually dragon will come off the wall , and hopefully shield's retarded AI will make it take long enough to leave it in range (usually does, about 7 outta 10 times). While both are matching speeds, pull up alongside them and shoot dragon. As dragon approaches a wall, back off. The wall will cause the gap between shield and dragon to close, eventually removing shield as dragon's target. Wait for dragon to come off the wall with shield in tow (and being the target), pull up alongside, and after about 3 strafing runs you should have it. Good luck, and + if it works for you.

"Distraction" would actually be fair if the "Dragon" didn't have a weapon with a minimum range of halfway across the map. Maintaining the balance of OUTSIDE the minimum range and INSIDE the maximum range while at the same time being CLOSER to the Dragon than the sword while of course the sword is still INSIDE the maximum range so it can shoot leaves about a ten-pixel margin of error where the dragon will actually shoot at your shield and you can shoot back, and the balance is upset as soon as any of the tanks make any sudden, unpredictable movements, which happens approximately ALWAYS percent of the time. Please, just give the dumb dragon a machine gun so we can set the shield to follow it and just control the sword.

One could argue that two healers is OP. But one could also argue that controlling the bots is a pain in the ass. So it's fair.

The regular levels are fine because I only have to win once to get gear which makes my bots superior (ergo their incompetence doesn't put me at a disadvantage). The challenges, however, are absolutely ludicrous. I've never seen so many bots run STRAIGHT for the corner, or even seemingly avoiding the opponent. /sigh

Pretty Cool. I like it for the most part. 4/5 But it is a little limited by its own scope. I would request some re balancing but if every match weren't a hair difference between the winner and loser it would lose some luster overall. A wider selection of weapons/components would be cool to.

Very simple tweak to the control system that I think would make the game a whole lot easier to play without ruining it: if the player clicks on an open area of the arena, ALL his bots are directed to move there. If he clicks on an enemy bot, ALL of his bots are directed to follow it as a target. Leave the click-drag mechanism for cases where all-or-nothing isn't as effective.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
controls are horrendous and this is especially evident in the challenges how poor controls ruin everything, I click on my robot to go somewhere yet it simply gets stuck and blown to simitherines
I got the first two badges based on money and tech alone.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Absolutely terrible. Hopeless controls and absolutely braindead AI. I don't mind one or the other, but both just completely kills this game. As a result the difficulty curve is ridiculous, it takes a dozen replays of mission three to get two bots good enough to have a chance at mission 4. The upgrade control system is unneccesarily complicated, havign to dismount stuff to remount other stuff. I could go on for a while.
But mainly I'm just wondering why this piece of junk ever got badges in the first place.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The only reason the challenges are any challenge at all is because the controls are awful. The concepts are trivial. Implementing them are 65% luck and 35% where you click and drag. Click and drag... seriously? I do like the game and concept in general, but it shouldn't be hard due to poor controls.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This would be a four or five star game if the controls actually worked. How did this mess get any badges at all? Why revisit it and give it badge of the day? Embarrassingly bad.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Its not that hard when you figure out that you are given a lot of room for error. For instance, on challenge four, you can have your soldier doing nothing half the time and still win as long as the shield is by the dragon.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think this game deserves 5/5,but no fav.aND FOR PEOPLE COMPLANING ABOUT CHALLENGE FOUR,uh,ITS RANDOM LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I originally rated this 1/5 a year ago. It's still a 1/5, with the world's worst control system ever. Badge of the day just reminds me what a badly designed game this was.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great potential but completely ruined by the dumb as rocks ai. The enemy ai goes all out but the players bots ai is messed up big time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game had potential to be fun. The lack of a non retarded AI and/or easy to use manual control kills this game for me. One of the very few games I've given a 1/5 to. |:

I agree, with the comments here: these controls are horrible. This would be a good game if you could use the keyboard. As it is, the controls are clonky and it is difficult to focus on one robot, let alone 2 or 3.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Even though the bots are near impossible to control, I think my favorite part of the game is when the bots go in the complete opposite direction from the one they were ordered to.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is too random, what's makes it really annoying and boooring. Becouse of stupidity of those robots I'm loosing too often. No cotrol = no fun. 1/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The AI systems in this game are horrible! I want a robot to shoot at a specific target but instead it can only follow it, then the second robot follows him and my robot starts shooting at it. I never knew robots were so stupid before this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you would like a real life version of this game just get two roomba cleaning robots and put them in a small room and tahdah!!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Love how the bots die and there is no going around them. now my bot is stuck in a corner and this game is now watching two bots do a never ending stare down while the evil music slowly eats my sanity away.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Horrific Controls, but worse than that, the robots ignore your commands anyway. Mix the two and it's almost not worth bothering.
