Completely smashed all AI on normal difficulty before medieval era, then went next era to unlock reincarnation. Went for hardest ai, and completely smashed all AI again before medieval era. The AI are way too bad at this game. They rarely expand to take new cities, or they make too many lanciers/units and no longer have gold income to build new buildings, getting "stuck". Alternatively, they just mass gold and governers and don't make units to expand, or don't have tech because they are prioritizing "gold" or "culture" when what they really need to unlock new units/buildings is tech. AI don't know how to play this game at all. I once scouted one with 5 governers, 15 plague doctors, 4 lanciers, and 40 catapults, chilling in their only city with 1 mil/1 mil capped gold. I eventually got bored watching after a couple hours and just captured it. AI need decision-making improvements at this point, not bonuses
AI can only get as smart as the dev unfortunatly ;)
Seriously, you should see some slight improvements in next update but i know i still have a lot of work to do about this and to be honest, it's not an easy thing to do because it requires a lot of long-term testing..

Seems a bit silly that colonies gives science bonus when you're all but done researching at that point.
Also, in general, shame that there is no final use for science.
On the whole a nice game though :)

2100 BC: "We invented navigation! Yay!"
2050 BC: "We constructed a caravan! Yay! I'm not sure but I think, something's missing."
1500 BC: "I have an idea: let's invent the wheel so our caravan can move."

I wish there was an auto build button in the city which makes the game a bit more idle. Like when it is enabled, the cheapest building will be built when there's enough gold. It's harder to micromanage once you have over a dozen cities.

I both enjoyed this game and had it get on my nerves. I love this type of game and it has a nice set up. But it will lag down bad at times and need to be restarted. Also Thinks LIke a city rebelling are not in the notifications so you will come back and be like why do I have a bunch of extra city's? And if they attack it the game sees it as there's and does not show you a battle report. Overall it has a lot of potential just needs a bit more work. I also like the reincarnation Idea to get better each game. Keep up the good work.

Hmm, timeshift doesn't seem to affect all troop movements equally. Also, if it fast-forwards all my enemies as well as myself, how is it really helping me?

I was really enjoying this game, but then everything just stopped. I Reloaded, Reincarnated, but nothing advances any more.

So... I had a big city that was unhappy. A plague killed a few citizens. That made the city happier. Apparently my citizens are evil.

Umm, somehow I was in a war with another country, took a couple of citys, have 4 governors"(travelling) and easily beating him, go to diplomacy and can demand all but one city as "fair offer". Send offer but war is now over but didn't get any citys?

great game but the menu is a complete mess and when we get the infinity buildings i have to cycle through just to begin building it because it glitches to the bottom of the screen

just how big is the malus you get from a negative influence? I have a +200% influence against Aztecs and they literally only have a longhouse, shrine, chest, barracks, granary and monument when I have literally researched the whole classical era.

I already loved the first version and i was sad when it was not anymore compatible with my computer. But there still are some bug: I misclicked and accidently sent all my money as a gift to another civilization instead of sending it to my city, and even I stopped the transfer before the end, all the money never returned the treasuries of my city after the movement back. :(

Some things could be a bit less ambigious.
Eye of Horus affects all villages regardless where the trade route is in your empire, but I'm under the impression that the same does not apply for markets and banks?

Would be great to have an option to turn off notifications, or at least mute certain ones. Late-game sends them nonstop when you have multiple cities.

The diplomacy is bad in this game. Why is the computer almost impossible to please a peace deal even though they're not sending any troops? Why is the computer mad at me for having cities near me despite them being the ones taking barbarian villages near my cities? Why is it early on in the game the only way to please the computer is to use the very limited amount of trade routes and the gifts of gold that becomes outdated quickly?

really cool game. Concrats for #3 in the january contest. If you ask me it should have been #1 :)
I like to play the game with no offline progress. I prefer to control everything and not miss time I could use to upgrade. The downside is that sometimes there is little to do and I have to wait for ~30 minutes. It would be really cool if it would be possible to earn offline time while offline that one can spend when online. I have seen this in other idle games and it works quite well. For example: I was offline for X hours, this results in Y minutes saving times. When online I can use that Y to go fast forward until I need to control something again

AI looks to be broken, all civs pump all their gold into raising armies as large as they can sustain, but don't bother researching, don't build governors and therefore don't expand. Because of that, it's simply a case of snatching up all the barbarians and winning by total production.

This game is really great, gotta say. It has some issues, most of which have already been pointed out in the comments, but I love the idea of making civ into an idle game and I feel like this game was a great way to go about it. Well done, super fun, can't wait to waste way too much time on this game even though I own Civ already.

village has 2.4k food, gaining +1.4 food per second, citizen dies of starvation. really nice game but some of these mechanics make absolutely no sense. Hopefully people stop dying of starvation when the village is overflowing with food in the next update.

governos cost more 100 M, CAN'T RECRUIT..... waited so much time to get the 138 cities and I'm stuck at 110, because limit gold is 100 M

Okay, much as I joked, it's actually becoming a bit of a problem. It feels like every ten minutes I have to prune several cities from my list. I can't burn them fast enough. And if I leave the game unattended for a few hours, I'd be worried I'd end up with so many cities that I'd be at risk of losing the better ones to low happiness. I think the influence mechanic was a good addition, particularly the lowered defenses it can open up, but perhaps instead of having cities automatically switch sides, it could instead open up the option of a diplomatic conquest? Perhaps using spies? Then I could actually acquire some of the good cities and not be swamped with all the little hovels I get now.

I'm currently in the process of burning down a bunch of shoddy villages because they keep insisting on breaking away from the nations that keep reconquering them and joining me - and I don't want their plain toast bonusless peasant hovels stinking up my glorious empire.
I'm the best ruler.

We should be able to queue up sequential buildings like with research, because it's very annoying that I'm forced to wait for a workshop to finish before I can add a furnace to the queue, etc.

100 horsemen and a governor go out at speed 1. So far so good.
Conquer city, governor stays there, horsemen return home... at speed 1. Really? You dropped the dead weight guys, get yourselves back up to speed 3 already!

Selecting a new building cancels the current one, same thing with the science. There is no warning about this, which makes it very frustrating. Please add a separate cancel button or warning of this mechanic.
