Awesome game. I love the depth of tournaments and rivals. I like the precision of having to change your gear in each stance, so i can tune switch stances mid competition as needed. Would love to see tournaments beyond level 100, or Rival tournaments, so I can keep blasting through levels after 120 without relying on Mastery

Rival achievements are broken and don't work. No stars are given besides the first regardless of stance and configuration.

Game just stopped working on Firefox. Was training up to 15 attack so I could beat next new rival, and it was crashing every half hour or so, and then poof.

really like the new update, and yes it was pretty easy to get everything done, i basically finished all new content in 3 minutes but at least there are higher caps to work with now :)
also like the changes to equipment, it felt useless to upgrade it after a certain level but with the new hp/dmg system it just feels more rewarding to get those few item lvls in

One more tiny usability thing:
For the level 10 bonuses for skills, say WHEN you get those bonuses. Like: "When in this stance" or "In Any Stance" or "Always" :)
Some of the skills are very clear when you get the bonus, but others (like 'Attack' and 'Defend') are not so clear.

Another tiny helpful usability thing:
Arranging the stance icons and adding little arrows or 'greater than' symbols, to make it clear which stances have an advantage over others.
It wouldn't be terrible to build in some mechanic (beyond the 'technique' skill) to give the stances a baseline bonus against others. Even if it was just a behind-the-scenes 5% - 10% shift or stat-boost of some kind.
That would also make it that much clearer as to *why* some of those second and third stars are tricky to get!

Super tiny usability thing that would help a little bit:
It'd be handy to have an L and R under the hands, to indicate which is the right and which is the left hand (the silhouette makes it tricky to tell which way the character is facing, which in turn makes it hard to tell which is right and which is left)

Grandmaster Erik 2nd star - Can't duel wield claymores. still trying to figure out how to get skills to max higher than 25. Do I have to fight higher level rivals to unlock?

im not sure what just happened, but i kept the browser open but went back to the Kongregate main page. All of my data was lost. Is this a glitch, because my browser settings only clear cookies when it is closed.

Thanks so much for the new update! This game has me addicted like I haven't been to a game in ages. Not to be greedy, but do you plan to bring out more updates in the future? Also, if you added some sort of premium content I'd make a small purchase just because I want to say thanks for making a game I got so much enjoyment out of.
I plan to work on this for a long time, I also want to see where it will go (my plans for the game have already changed quite a bit since release.) I'm way behind on Cloud Saves and IAP (in-app-purchase) so I will be working on that next. I don't really want to release IAP without at least a small content update for all players though so it could be a while.

Very nice update but.. I still didn't get my master blacksmith achievement nor the new getting 1 star from rival duels ;(
Yeah I forgot that might happen. If you had 2 stars before the update the game won't check to see if you earned the 1st star award until you get your next star. I think this can also happen if you had 4,5 or 7 stars before the update. And I'm not sure what is going on with the Master Blacksmith award, it always unlocks for me. I will keep working on it.

The bug fixes from a month ago say Library level 5 and School level 3, but mine are 4 and 2 respectively and they claim to be max level. Is this just you counting incorrectly in the patch notes or is this a bug or am I just not high enough level to see that content?

I love the way the game handles Idle income. 5 stars just for that. Even at a low multiplier you can push it beyond your active income. Makes active moments more tactical [in the midgame anyway] for short periods after which you can truly idle.

high level fights rely on hit% and crits, which is fine, but it's something that catches new players off-guard. All in all, great time waster that I've dumped a decent chunk of time into

Did someone ruin the "trading" awards? Now instead of earning money from trading items you get extra money from enemies? How does that make any sense?

At lvl 174 I was one slashed by Warlord Grand Master Drevon leaving my, up to that point, unbeaten fighter to flail hilariously on the ground in defeat. Afterwards the message "You Lost the Duel." written in my own blood was displayed on the screen. 5/5, best idle game on Kong.

I think your student should get experience using the stance or style in addition to points in defeating an opponent. This game rules btw

2º Similarly, The Headmaster bonus and Leadership works when you actual disciple surpass the most lv up master you have..not the actual one..so if your most high lv master is 200, for you to get the bonus, you have to get lv201, even if your “actual” master is , lets say lv140, getting lv141 will not get your bonuses (I´m almost sure about this one, please correct me anyone if I got something wrong, But I have upgraded masters around lv140 for ex and have not gotten the bonus, and then I Realize why, because only the most high lv matters.
Thats it..it would be nice to have these game mechanism details explained in tutorials (maybe a later tutorial, not at the beggining)

Somethings Important to notice early on..and that I only realized on late game (and other friends too)
1º - To have acess to the silver skill bonus you need only ONE of the three masters to have this skill lv upgraded.
Ex: you need only one master if accuracy lv 20 so that all your disciples will learn this hability with silver cost (2points) but, if you don´t upgrade the skill if any of the masters..you will lose the silver status and will have to buy bronze status (3points) again.

i'm 94 lvl with all fight skills +5, equipment +15 and still hardly beat 85 lvl rivals((((( what about better balance?

I thinks its a good game, but its is very complex and hared to understand how to play. I suggets you make it easy to play and understand the functions. The idea is very good, and the concept is good too. 3/5.
