Wow I went away for an hour and an update was posted by the time I got back! love how often you update and keep the game alive!
Also, fun game. Nice depth for a browser game.

I started playing last week, the game is awsome, but the thing i'm loving them ost are the costant fixes to the game, always improving it, really - you're doing a great job with this game, keep up the good work :)

I've got all the Awards and am only missing a few stars here, and it's been a great game. Only 1 real complaint/suggestion: Desperately needs a better way to gain money. Currently, you're only real source of income is cheesing the inventory/shop system. It's obvious that it was intentionally designed that way, but it still feels like an exploit. Plus, it's just frankly monotonous and boring.

Thanks for making that last tweak. I've found the "you lost the duel" message box to be really annoying, as well. I wish it would behave the same as any other fight, where there is no message box.

Greetings again Tovrick, I had a thought that I wanted to share with you. It's actually to help those attempting to get the award for reaching Grand Master without a single defeat. You could add to the Stats page a list of your victories and defeats. That way we could know if we've failed or not.

I think some balancing of the equipment is in order... there is no point to get any armor more than leather (penalties are too harsh)... and no sword is really viable other than rapier...

Respeccing skills would be very very useful. Mainly because early on it is hard to know what style is going to be better. Also, a small info window explaining basic game mechanics would be nice. Also, do tournament titles also buff your enemies?. If so it might be nice to specify it.

Hmm there is something that is not nice for endgame: The enemies can reach a higher skill level than the max. This is evident from these combo enemies: They can do a combo of 6 at training level 190 which I cannot do even at max combo skill(Speed).
(The equipment should be not an issue as long as you grind money via buying and selling(which I don't tho)) Oh, and max stars so that is not the reason.

I think it would make it interesting to add different weapon schools, for example Poleaxe, Spear, Axe & Shield and have upgrades for each as opposed to intimating that a claymore is somehow "better" than a rapier - they're different schools, and rapiers come in different weights and prices of their own etc.

Workaround for the tab/freezing issue that works for me in Chrome: scroll down until the (frozen) game window disappears. Scroll back up. Game should be unfreezed.

Now that non-focused tabs work a little better now, can you please add a way to get offline income without closing the tab? A toggle would be nice; a passive would be better

ok, so my pc shut off mid game, and when i came back i found my progress reset. i did have the save data just fine, but the auto-save failed to succesfully load the data pre-shutdown. any thoughts about how this happened? btw this happened once before and the auto-save managed to save it just fine, so im curious why it failed this time.

I wish that there was a function that you put 5 or 10 points into a skill at once. Would make buying skills after promotions a lot easier. Maybe even as an unlock for completing a new award?

I had a thought. Since the Sell manu always has that empy slot in the bottom right corner, due to the difference in size between the Equipment and Shop's inventory grids, why not have a "Sell all" button of some kind in that corner?

I'm not too far into the game, I'm just on my first disciple. I think that adding achievements with or without minor rewards would make playing and progressing feel even more fulfilling.

Finished beating all the rivals and consider the game "completed" unless another update comes out. Was great fun - well done on making a fantastic game. I might suggest that the extra tabs appear ghosted with lock symbol at the start - because when you first start in the game it takes a fair while to unlock new surprises and you don't know that all these great new things will be coming along.

I feel like different swords should be better for different styles. Rapiers are good for fencing, and shields can be useful, however it's just ridiculous to duel wield them.

This is a very nice little game and I love the concept. I like how the art style reminds me of the Renaissance sword fighting manuals but something about the menu fonts and colors set me off. I just think that could look better. I would also love to see more in the game though, like more styles (like some you would find in the manuals or even some asian styles) and more weapons (scimitars, katanas, daos, hook swords, epees north african swords, so many swords!) Like I said, I love the concept and I hope this game evolves into something awesome!

A small gripe: the mastery skill Discipline gives extra EXP if you are lower than that master, Dedication if you are higher leveled. This results in the fact that if you are the same level, you don't get the benefits of either. I would fix this to >= or <= or to Experience instead of level. Again a small gripe.

1) Buy and sell short swords until you have the Trader, Merchant and Arms Dealer awards.
2) Fill your inventory with an item you're not currently equipped with (for me, usually short sword works).
3) Max upgrade one or two of the items at a time, and then sell them back. Doing 2 at a time ensures you spend a good fraction of your total money on each trip to the Equip tab, but it doesn't make much actual difference overall.
Repeat for exponentially increasing profit.
4) Get the Master Blacksmith award. Shouldn't take too long.
It's somewhat tedious, but this quickly trivialises all other gold income in the game -- there's no point in putting points into gold-related masteries, and the tournament prizes are tiny by comparison.

An excellent game but the late parts need a serious rebalance. Around lvl 200 normal (training opponents) tend to be 10 times stronger than my character, one-hitting me even in plate armor. This is by no means realistic, and on top of that, very annoying. Such superhuman enemies require superhuman equipment. Another solution could be buffing the existing stuff: chain and plate should give WAY more HP, heavy swords WAY more damage, and high levels should give more bonus per level. By this I mean that instead of a flat increase, the bonus could always grow by a percentage of the previous level (i.e. a geometric sequence).

@imnotsicktoday You need to read what it says. "Star 2: Dual Swords Style only, Dual Swords Level 10+" This means you can ONLY use Dual Swords Style and it MUST be at level 10 or higher to earn the second star. Good luck in your future rival subjugation.
