The stats/equipment/herostats/heroArmy/3hero system is amazingly cool and makes for a lot of strategy. Unfortunately, there are certain types of units that are "best", so all the variety is just a bunch of garbage to hunt through. And unless there is a perfect 3 hero army, sometimes you just have to lose a round to see what types of enemies are in a level, then start over with the best 3 heros. Trial & error is not fun when the game is so slow. Also finding protectomon by repeating story line levels is dumb because the level does not change, so I just repeat the same thing 3-5 times.. I'm watchin youtube while playing.

After I close the window and open it again, I lose all of my progress... Does anybody has the same issue? It only happens with this game!

it may just be me but for a flash game, its very slow, especially when its enticing you to buy items that cost 5k gold when you start with 100 and basically get 50-100 g per quest for like 5 or 6 levels. i am not saying the game is terrible, i'm just saying that i dont think i have the patience to become at least moderately powerful in this game. therefore im not going to rate it: i don't say "boring. 0/5"

It's really frustrating when you get through three-quarters of the levels only to get caught by a single round with an elemental weakness that you didn't bring and a strength to the recommended element, and then getting smashed and losing.

Is there any use at all for the Mage's and ArchMages in this game at all?? They seem like they are no better then the Trainers and the Wizards.

Popped on Kongregate to relax and what do my wondering eyes see? Protector gave birth to yet another child. Thank you.

Overall this is spectacular. i just have to gripes, one minor, one major. First, the "recommended element" function for missions is quite treacherous. As an example, it reccomended I take energy elements, but in the level a nearly have the enemies were strong against it and none were weak towards is.
Secondly, I find melee to be nearly useless since they cannot affect flying units at all. This means that investing in more than one or two is self defeating as a single flying wave can roll right over you. Short reach is handicap enough. I think melee units should do half damage to flyers, or have some other means of compensating for this glaring weakness.

tyleror I'm the same wth the badges thing. funkenmittens you are not an idiot I did to but to get powerful follow this: keep playing the 1st story one. Win or lose doesn't matter. now go to your heroes secton on the right OR go to stores. if you went to heroes select a hero, now click on a item, now click in a slot. resault: hero is now more powerful. if you went in the shop(it's best to do this after) now click on all your items left. reasault: you have alot of money REAPET

And stop complaining about no sell. In all 4 protectors you can't sell because the maker wants it that way. Use strategy, not complaints.

I've found the best units are mages and watchers. Mages debuff (Makes other units do more damage) and watchers can convert kills into damage. If you use watchers early they can get a massive amount of damage by the end. Both are ranged.

I must be an idiot . . . I seem ridiculously underpowered for all quests past the introductory one, and the first storyline quest. I can only make it past a couple of waves in each subsequent "normal" quest. Any strategy hints or pointers?

Warriors do plenty of damage especially later on. Quit bitching about melee. You're going to need both at the later levels anyway

Even the 4. version has still the same cool style, but imo there are more and more options (like leveling ur heroes, thousands of items and so on), that aren't really needed

this game is fun but like others said flying kinda ruins the levels. This game is also waaaaaay overrated, it is a TD with a little extra, the TD part of this game is cobbled together in a way that makes me NOT like the game at all, it is poorly designed and the flying units wreck the game(warriors are next to useless). 3/5

I love the irony in the updates box: "Verious typoes – plaese repot any moar you fidn". Please replace it with: "Various typos - please report any more you find" unless it was intentional in which case... LEGEND!

This is really a great game, with a lot of diversity... but flying units take away a lot of that. I tried my best to get a somehwat even mix of warrior units in with the mages, but then realized that I was just making the game needlessly difficult due to the damn flying rounds - just using lots of mages or archers is so much better. Would you consider having warriors do half damage against flying units or something?

Heres a tip:get the first guy u meet that has engineers,they have 2 range,8 speed,and 15 damage.if u don't have enough space,get rid of the warrior-knight guy,warriors suck compared to engineers

It's a great game but it should tell youwhat the different effects are like consecration and bleeding i have no idea what they do.

I really do not like that normal quests can not be replayed. One of the mayor parts of the former protector games was to find out how to get a level done. Now you have to be lucky to pick your heros and set up your units right on the first try. So far I failed a few times and it's ticking me off. A lot. So only 3/5.

I'm getting the NAN thing too. I can't increase my leadership, so i can only have four heroes. i'm still playing a bunch though.
