this is impossible to clear as you cant save because when i come back its all gone this is a bad saving issue and i have already set the storage to unlimited so update now urbansquall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just finished all missions on hard... way too easy. Kaos... just pay attention to what the enemy has out, and counter. Lots of missions they play heavy in artillery/balloon bombers, counter with rapers and stealth tanks. It's easy, you just gotta be patient, dont rush in.

Great game 5/5, I ahve followed the series and have not been disapointed yet. Keep it up, this is up there with advanced wars and Fire emblem

honestly, compared to advanced wars even hard is waaaay too easy x.x... although the war machine idea is pretty sweet

Nice to see a new campaign instead of a multiplayer. Wasn't that big of a fan of the multiplayer. Where the story lacks, the gameplay makes up for it with just pure fun. 9/10

mercenarylucas advanced wars is not the first turn based strategy game i would say fire emblem would be the old ass japanese ones

the hard badge is more like endurance. When you laern to know your opponent you know what to do and that makes game actually no harder. Maybe enemy has more atack and hp on harder mode

Why the hell would you wait for the enemy to deplete the supply line? Just focus your offensive on one side and your done.

too easy. just spam airplanes. they are cheap and most enemy units can't hit them. with your starting units try to hit first and kill enemy AA units

Chapter 8 on hard - first turn: make battleships from all your factories (you have to move one to free the slot). Move all your ships into one block. Use subs to stall enemy attacks. Keep planes behind lines.
When enemy's first turn does little damage, counterattack. You'll likely need more ships from your factories. Always attack with your strong vs. his weak - e.g, missile boat vs. sub, sub vs. destroyer. You need to defend a couple of turns, then it's just mopping up. I can probably do a video if anyone's still stuck.

Tips for Lvl 8: build an extra Battlecruiser and as many sub/plane destroying boats as possible; then bring every unit to surround you war machines. Use cloaked subs to impede the enemy's progress and try and pick off as much as possible with Battlecruisers, making sure you keep your sub/plane/condor destroying ships as much as possible.

Hard badge is Easy, The computer trys to kill your Tanks that you create your tanks/ships/planes from.. protect them and they will run outta money play it smart and its easy

great game as is the series 5/5. for all of you stuck on level 5 on hard mode just let all your units die exept your stealth tanks, place all of the tanks in the top right corner, and the enemy war ships will come towards you so they can mine.

Tips for Hard:
---Build missiles, planes, and the massive size tanks in the corner where you start and wait for the enemy to come to you
---Exhaust the enemy's resources before leaving your corner
---Focus on a single path when moving against the enemy base
---On the later maps, focus heavily on building planes and bombers
---Surround the 4 sides (top/bottom/left/right) of your base with planes or bombers if it is coming under attack by enemy tanks or bombers, they can't hurt your base that way

To those who want a harder AI: it is very hard to write an intelligent AI. It's not too hard to write a decent one, but something on par with a skilled human is tough. It's much easier to just tweak stats than to write a better AI.

I even understand that in difficult they enemies could hit harder, but put it in the unit specs. It is not at all clear and can be really difficult to plan attacks

Im experiencing a very common problem, right as a gain the upperhand and there is no way the other team can win, they stop playing, they just don't make a move, even for hours when I forget about it and do something else, I'll come back and it will still be on their turn

even tough the game is good, I don't actually like the difficulty system. on hard mode your enemies simply deal more damage and you deal less. it should be more like the enemy actually gets a "smarter" AI. also, the dialouge isn't really great.
