Okay... a couple things.
1)AW is NOT the best tactical RPG out there. That award has to go to Fire Emblem.
2) I think that moving should be two "phases". One for actually moving(first, you can choose not to move) and one for attacking. I find myself accidentally not attacking the enemy too many times (maybe 'cuz I play FE more :), oh well). The two-phase movement also makes it possibleto move battleships around (they were obviously supposed to move and attack on the same turn. Or at least that's what it looks like) and then attack. Otherwise, it won't respond to my move because I need to move and attack at the same time.
Overall, 5/5, -1 for one-phase movements. Total: 4/5

A lot of times after the computer has moved all of its units it takes a long time for it to move on to my turn. That would definitely be nice to have fixed.

Only problem is the enemy doesn't really fight back after their initial units. So it's more of a survival the attack type of game.

There was a pretty serious bug with loading/saving that made it impossible to finish some levels if you had used the save/load on that level. It's fixed now. Please let me know if you have any other issues with the load/saving. I'm glad to hear so many people are enjoying the game. :)

Few more comments: 1. Kongregate badge is ginormous. We get it already. 2. On one of the levels I had chat turned off (the level with the invisible tanks...3? 4?) and the level wouldn't end. Saved, closed, reloaded with text on and it instantly concluded. 3. I sometimes accidentally click on an action unintentionally or move somewhere unintentional. I'd like the option of undoing a non-combat move.

Lags a lot and the enemy turns take forever sometimes, should include the ability to skip the enemy turn, otherwise pretty much an uninspired strategy RPG.

1/5 until bugs fixed. Killed all units on chapter 5 and tried to capture command centre. It never fell. Saved game, reloaded and all my units instantly died.

@IanIanIan - who is putting down AW? It's the best strategy game out on the portable consoles. I wouldn't dare critise it. All I am saying is it's got to be better... and we were just trying to make a free to play flash game like it.

is it me or can anyone actually capture the base in chapter 9? I killed all the units and I've been trying to capture the base for over 30 rounds now.

Nice, but advance wars had some attack animations, I know its sorta knitpicky but can you add like puffs of smoke for flak or shells hitting for the battleships. That was always one of the best parts of it for me, seeing the result of me attacking, just a suggestion. Spectacular game though. Very nice. 5/5

I could care less if your going to copy a game like Advance Wars, although it is probably illegal somehow. What bothers me is that you criticize the game you are copying. Yours is on a flash game website and the other game is played worldwide on a handheld game system. Copying a game, then saying it has flaws, is just totally gutless. Plus, I find all the "changes" you've made, horrible. Infantry totally rape this game, they shouldn't be able to bring tanks down so easily. In a small game map size, rockets shouldn't have a range of 3-5. Thats a huge frickin range for a map so small. That and not being able to move + repair same turn. Stipid changes imo. Fun game, but why you gotta put down AW? The greatest strategy game ever made for a gameboy. Shame on you

couldn't find how to save. thought it auto saved but whatever. It's good enough I'm willing to play the missions again, just wish I didn't have to do it all in 1 sitting, but game play is 5/5!

@Jaywalker2 - Prodigy's point has been stated in the description - the way he went on about it was out of line though... There has to be a difference between a free to play flash game and a fullblown console game - even more so when it's been around for ages and had the AI and UI polished in 3 or 4 versions. @aguspal - the initial design had a 800x600 screen but it had to be chopped to fit the kongregate website.

It would be better if you had made the screen size just a wee bit smaller. For those of you who can't figure out what to do, press F11 to go into/out of full screen mode, you can see the whole game that way.

in just 14 seconds, i knew it was good. combine good graphics, gameplay, and framerate, and you have yourself a gem. This is a diamond.

Prodigy has a valid point, this game is a cheap version of Advance Wars, and it's not nearly as good. The AI, whilst the best in any flash game I've seen, is severely lacking in comparison, and the statement that "there were some things missing" in Advance Wars grates considerably given the relatively amateurish tonee of this effort. However, for a flash game this is amazing, so 5/5...just don't flame people who disagree with you.

Good game, makes me nostalgic for the originals... I think the most needed feature is the actual combat animation... nothing like watching a group of mech's take down a jeep group...

Badges! FTDS.. good game is good game. Look at how many freakin Mario rip offs there are that are still hella fun. go outside, kids.. the internet over-exposure is makin ya whiney.
