don't know how many people noticed, but one thing i liked in advanced wars was the percentage of damage. it was a much nicer way of calculating what would happen. still a good game, 4/5

just a few questions/comments:
Does a units effectiveness/damage decrease when its damaged? I think ive had this happen.
I think the infantry is extremely overpowered vs. armor. Two infantry can easily kill a scorpion tank, especially with mountains and such for cover. Personally i think its effectiveness should be decreased vs. armor and flak, and flak should be able to absolutely murder infantry.

OF course, there's always the option of choosing hard mode on these odd level 3's, which actually helps you, because something's wrong with the difficulty system, title or itself.

game is great i just wish building and reapairing units could be a littel more like the acule advantes wars and that the ranges for some units were more like the real game as well as some maps not allowing for certain pickups(but i've only played the bootcamp so mabys its difrent with the albatros and laviethen in the campain but if not then maby u could work on that

I play advance wars on the DS.
for those complaining for the controls there are 2 options for the DS.
first is move then attack second it indicate the enemy unit and attack, this way your unit goes wherever DS thinks best.
same goes for here.you attack but can't stay where you want to
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Needs an "Undo move button." Just in case you screw up a move or something. I seem to do that a lot, and it is kind of annoying, because I want to attack the opponent, but can't.

I always loved the advance war series, but there are 3 very lacking things about this:
1. No battle animations. I mean COME ON! Anyone could do this. AW was GREAT because of the animations.
2. control: its kinda awkward and stocky. I would also like to note the considerable lag.
3. COs. AW had the most charismatic characters in a GBA game. Please bring them back.

well since being a very happy advanced wars player im kinda annoyed with this games unit control...not being able to attack after moving has already cost me some mission losses

This is a pretty good game, only 3 complaints. The first is the unforgiving movement system, which gets irritating after losing a mission because your hand slipped. The next thing is that you have to click on the enemy to attack, instead of moving, then attacking. The last thing is that after playing through all of the advanced wars games several times, this is almost ridiculously easy.

Very, very nice. Lots of work put in im sure! I love the combination of Rockets and missiles though especially! And if it had badges, whew! As to paraphrase Gerald Way, Infinite/5!

too me a good 20 minutes or so to finish off that bonus map. Was intense though, got my ass handed to me for a bit, then just stole all the bases mwahah

also the attacking is screwed up its all random i get totally different results, and since when shoulda tank instanrtly kill infantry and the chokepoint thing is CRAP,totally wont work

You have to log out the game if you want to load a previous, and this can upset your nerves.
This good game reminds me on Battle Islands, long tome ago. That was played on hexagons, and you could get your troops all on one square, to massive your attack or defence. Without that, Battalion is very similiar to Battle Island and like that very good.

it's a good game alright, but claiming to fic things from advance wars you've taken out a few of the key things that made the series good such as the detailed fighting screen (and with it the amount of troups and merging units together), the co's play no part and what you've essentially done is just boiled it down into your own version of Risk.
still it's a decent game i suppose.

BLAH, too used to advance wars, let your units choose what they can do after they move to a specific spot also, its annoying to restart an entire game just for that.

I can't seem to scroll right on any of the maps where there's actually stuff there on the right... VERY annoying... otherwise, 4/5

good game, you did advanced wars good, only a few complaints- as people have said, there is no sympathy for mistakes when moving units, I've clicked adjacent to the enemy I was going to attack, to move next to it, and lose that unit's turn WAY too many times, that should be edited, in my opinion. The other thing is what you've done to the fog of war. Now instead of having terrain be a huge matter, and being careful where you place units, it's turned into putting units in random places hoping you'll bumb into an invisible enemy, it's really a horrible rendition of fog of war. 4/5
