heyyy no fair I couldnt use jammer trucks as the Akadians so why can they?
@bobsacks, if you send a battlecruiser up each side of the river their warmachines are too stupid to avoid the ranged attack so its an easy win

It's a good game, but I've had it hang 2-3 times now, which is extremely annoying considering how long it takes to beat a level on hard. 3/5. Without crashes I would give it 5/5.

i thought the levels were pretty balanced, a bit easy imo...
my gripes are technical tho, it crashed a lot and the save function doesn't work..

i can't get past level 4 on hard, it glitches an unlimited amount of spider tanks and i can't bring any artillery past a certain point...

Saving worked for me, but I found it's a one-time thing - once you load the save file, it erases it, so there's no going back to a save file.

@bobsacks, if you're playing on normal, it's best to knock out the hunters first, since if they're gone, your planes and subs will be invincible. On hard, same applies, but you need to play with careful strategy.

cripsy, it's supposed to be like that. It's the AI's way of making up for it's total lack of strategic ability. By rights, Hard should be labeled "normal"

Hard is just unbalanced! One hit from any enemy kills anyone of my guys but takes minimum of two for them...I like strategy games and I can beat them all but this is just not right...3/5

I love these games! The only issue I had with this version was that the hard missions get easier as you play them!! After level 4, nothing challenged me really all that much. Make a super super hard campaign, kind of like the legendary Command & Conquer Covert Ops from back in the day.

If you position your rocket trucks right on level 5, you can take out the warmachines without defeating hardly any other artillary

Its not a bug persay, as was explained in the first two maps that mountains + other things can cause units to be untargetable.

Bug - in chapter 7 an enemy Anihilliator tank was untargetable from every ranged weapon - I had 5 of the rocket tanks and 3 battleships with it clearly on one of the targetable squares and I was not allowed to fire. Moved all of them a couple of squares in different directions, no luck - tank was impossible to target indirectly. Didn't bother trying air units, etc.

@Procyonpi. Agreed, in the second game there was at least 1 map where (on hard), if you didn't make the correct moves in the first round, the rest of the map was impossible to beat. Either I'm a great guesser or this game was a bit easier.

Where is the bonus map that gives the badge? I've beat the one in top left corner on main menu twice (to be sure) and it doesn't register...

Overall, compared to the second episode (I never finished the first one on hard... I'll get around to that one of these days), this episode was harder to beat on easy but easier to beat on hard. This episode was full of strategically tricky situations (like level 4 and the naval battle level) where you had to figure out the right strategy, but once you did, the tactics weren't THAT much harder to carry out on hard than on easy. However, in the second game, there were some levels were you were actually at a distinct military disadvantage. (In the last level of episode 2, they had way more units and 4 war machines to your 2, in this one, you always had more war machines). You could overpower the enemy conventionally on easy, but on hard, you had to use tricky tactics to get your units into positions to kill there war machines, while conserving every last drop from the oil wells in the territory you picked up effectively. Just my take on the whole harder / easier thing.

Dull, boring story. The game was way too easy. The developer didn't really go anywhere too far from where they started on this series. 2/5.

For lvl 4 on hard mode, there's a way you can position your ranged units near the first turn point at the bottom so that you can kill all the Spider tanks before they get a shot off on you (a hit from both ranged units is enough to kill a spider tank). Just do that, and send one scorpion tank to kill all the barricades, and use the flak tank, the annihilator, and the scorpion as meat shields to guard the ranged units as you send them through the danger zone. It's tricky, but doable.

Wow; difficulty curve was all over the place. Some early levels on Hard mode were REALLY hard; then seemed to get easier; then just get longer.

I couldn't believe how easy this was! The first two chapters were harder than this chapter. It took me a long time to get all the badges on chapter 2 but this chapter only took about an hour in total. This chapter was really disappointing.
