While what Marvaddin said is very helpful, I find that have a fire blast ready to go is VERY helpful for golden eggs that show up far away from you. + if you agree

A tough badge, but some extra tips (situational):
Monitor your health, yellows, and hatch times more than others,
Leave space to back out of a bad transform if you do not have vampiric ready,
Harvest yellows if necessary or you will die quickly late game,
Consider "wasting" vampiric on ~5 hexes if there is a large yellow chain nearby - this adds quick health and allows for recharge of yellows,
Try to line up lasers for gold eggs + reds/yellows to help yourself.

Wait a minute.....if im the grim reaper...and i die......does that mean instead of turning into a corpse, the grim reaper will turn into a human with life even though he has no more life left?
Im so confused XD. Other than that, nice game. Love how you turned an ordinary hex into something completely extraordinary. Its actually challenging, yet not too hard. I give this a 5/5.

Another suggestion for a way of balancing the game more - reducing the number of cuties killed it takes to produce a golden egg. Try cutting it in half to 5, and if that makes things too easy to get the "hard" badge, split the difference and go to 8.

Had a great time with it, but it seems from the comments that the difficulty needs to be tweaked a bit more, perhaps add a difficulty option with the easier settings having a better chance of Red Cuties and/or a lower cost for the abilities?
Anyway, 5/5 and Favorited. Keep up the great work!!

Here's something that I've found people overlook. The random changer isn't actually random. It's based on influence from outside of the amount of cuties of each color that are around the group. So if you have 6 reds, 4 blues, and 5 yellows around a group of blacks that you want to change, most of the time (I tested this and there are a few times when it didn't work out but very few) they would become red. Keep this in mind when playing that if you have the chance during the later levels, try to keep reds around a group and kill of all the other colors (except for those in the group) and then use the random changer.

You know how frustrating it is when you only need 4000 points for the hard badge and you see that there's a golden egg just 1 space to far before you run out of lives --'

Fun game, but gets incredibly frustrating at higher levels - to the point where the hard badge isn't so much a challenge, as a chore hoping you will luck out. Suggestions: 1. increase the likelihood of red cuties, 2. give a choice for what color you will transform cuties into (rather than having it random), 3. decrease the requirements slightly for each power. Try implementing each one of the 3, one at a time, and see how it affects the game. Then try more than one to see if it is better or worse.

The problem with this game is that the hatching types appear to be truly random. That results in a lot of scenarios (sometimes multiples hatches in a row) where you get very small groups, which means that even if the user plays perfectly, they still lose quickly a vast majority of the time. That should never be the case, and any developer worth their salt will tell you that true randomness (i.e. no game intelligence) is just plain poor design. It turns what would be a mildly fun game into nothing but a series of frustrations. And, frankly, this game type is so simple that not having any intelligence is a sign of either pure laziness, or sincere disdain for your users.

Took me about 5 tries to get it. Found that killing blacks to get the use of the Fire Blast when there were Golden Eggs I wouldn't reach before the next hatching to be quite helpful. Also Maximizing the use of Vampiric Touch and Transform can extend your life quite a bit.

1 health with a full board and there were absolutely no reds on it. Not even with my random color changer. This after having already used my other oh sh** yellow button. Random is what makes the game hard.

Not a bad one. Frankly, Marvaddin gives a good piece of advice. Whenever you want to get health from a big group, and you have vampiric transform and harvest ready, cast transform first. If anything, you will get a nice boost of those sideline cuties that weren't part of the group before. AND - I am a lucky, lucky bastard. On my 2nd try unlimited, I got 111797 points and still had 22 health. I quit the game then - after all I already got the badge. :)

Hate how luck-based this is, died so many times due to either there being only single reds scattered around, transform giving me the wrong color (with no vampiric touch) or just groups not coming together right. Might be the first BOTD I won't get which royally sucks.

This game's difficulty level should be more based around the skill and strategy of the player, not the luck. Large groups of eggs touching should have a greater chance of being the same color, or something along those lines, so you don't have to rely so much on the game randomly deciding if you live or not.

For people going for hard badge, remember to look at your health before using harvest, so you don't use it for health you don't need, therefore wasting it.

I have to add to Marvvadin's tip: Should you be unable to reach an Golden Egg without losing much health, and collected enough black cuties (Yes, they ARE useful, collect them only at 28HP+ though ;D) use the Fire Blast Skill.

Ok, so I got 100k easy with a small modification to Marvaddin's strategy. So read his first and instead of doing 4) on his, here is what I did (If you happen to be as unlucky as me). Yellow souls are always at a premium for me. So instead of saving Harvest for a large group of reds like he suggests, I used it to get yellows if they were in a large group. This allowed me to convert and use Vampiric Touch a lot faster on those large groups of black. Since these groups are pretty large and already give you 30+ health, there really is no point in saving harvest for them since you are maxed out at 40. My 100k came when there were 14 turns between hatchings, so it does take a little bit longer, but it pretty much makes this hard badge easy. Good luck and rate + if this helps.
