just a little criticsm please fix the arty system and i know its supposed to simulate real warfare but an arty just took out my troops under MULTIPLE CAMNETS and they were all concealed
thank you cause its really frustrating when you think youve got it the a sudden BUG! kills off your men and the game suddenly ended once whilst my troops were still alive! thank you

Just a random question... who controls the high score board, is it Kongregate or the game developer? My "Waves Survived" keeps getting erased (was 500 two days ago, 760 yesterday...) and first place keeps getting given back to bertrandwins with 460.

Anyways, just saying I wouldn't change it. Although nothing can prevent an artillery blitz coming your way, if that's the only thing you're weak against, you're in good shape since there's less than a 1% chance of it happening during any given wave past 100. And if you save up points properly and spread out your troops (i.e. some in top half, some in bottom) you can survive such a blitz and maybe continue on or at least survive another couple of waves.

You can't be expected to be able to defend against *everything* or else the game would go one forever. The game unapologetically states that there is a huge chance factor in terms of what will be sent your way. Each game is different and textured, and sometimes artillery blitz will happen. On the other hand, the thing that divides people who can get Mud & Blood Cross (average 100 waves per game by the time you reach mission 50) from those who can't is that they overcome the luck factor with skill when they can, and make comebacks even after their best units die in artillery blitz.

i am fudging p1ssed 1 bomb 1 arty 4 paratroopers bomb blows up bunker arty takes out 4 machine gunnrs paratroopers finish off everything

I'm whit uber coz bunker CAN'T protect against arty... Sometime (at lest 4 me) arty is so accurate thet it takes out all defenders (and bunkers is useless if arty hits them directly) at once... and it happens very often

lackinglack - That is my entire point! With just using cam nets as a defense against arty, if nothing can stop an arty blitz then we have no defense against such an attack. I am proposing a fix for such a thing because even though it is an arty blitz, it is still arty and should fall under the rules that determine arty in general.

Tanks are horrid if they don't have infantry for support. Tanks engage targets slowly, but can decimate the battlefield with their main cannon. Also, tey provide excellent cover for any soldiers directly behind them.

TheUber i think a german scout probably scouted your map, aka making your camo useless for 10 seconds and then in those 10 seconds they realized they wanted to get rid of you wit ha boss arty happened to me many times before so i dunno this is my theory

i had a flamethrower that went to 1st lieutenant then he just stayed lying on the ground and his moral was 110 and didnt want to do anything until i killed him with an arty strike

theuber - arty BLITZ is not ARTY. they are two totally different events. you can stop ARTY with camo nets. there is NOTHING to stop an arty BLITZ wave. it is extremely damaging.

Two things I would fix in the next patch.
1) I got an arty blitz even though most of my guys were under cam nets. The point of cam nets are to prevent arty from occurring. Fix maybe?
2) Frenchies never used to be scared of their own guns...make it so that they can at least fire then walk again right afterwards.

I love this game; I've been sinking massive hours into it since last week... and all for the glorious cost of free, to boot. I really should be studying for Step 1 though... ^ ^ The game gets a 5/5. It has niche appeal to those who like hard-core strategy, well-designed animations and a dedicated fanbase (check out urbanprophet.com). The micromanaging aspect is actually on par with Myth:TFL. I could imagine this as being a multiplayer game, even... that would be interesting to see. You would have to expand the field and get rid of pausing, though. Good work, urbz!

You will not get hit with artillery (except boss waves) if you have less than 6 units visible. Some things can still happen when paused. These include TNT fuses from enemy engineers, shots from enemy soldiers who have already begun to take aim, and rockets fired from your bazooka that are midair.

Do flame throws run outta juice? I had mine survive all the way up to 62 exp, then he just seemed to not want to kill anyone? He was like a medic running around picking up crates, not once stopping and flaming anyone?

wow i am never using tanks again
i just decided to test it out so used last stand with 3 tanks
guess what? i lost on wave *24* because all three tanks commited suicide... they literally blew themselves up. EPIC FAIL = TANKS

Actually, someone on urbanprophet.com tested out the weapons. He bought 4 spec ops, gave 2 of them BARs (the ones with the lowest rifle) and the other one Springfields (the ones with higher rifle). The soldiers with BARs killed and leveled the fastest. I believe he also tested this with the M1 Garand and Springfield, and the Garand did better too.
