ugh, here again. the gameplay is alright, but there's something wrong with the game itself. doesn't work right, so i can never finish it. gets a bit laggy too. quite irritating. also keep on getting The Day I Tried to Live stuck in my head too. not a bad song, but over and over again, and you know, even the best of songs....

This is an fine sample of worst game, you don't have control of your troop, no idea what you doing and slowwww jerky motion, not to mention horrible graphic.

The interface is just...atrocious. So much to click on, that when you click on it does nothing. Selecting units is, sub-optimal. All I do is move guys around at a snail's pace? They have an endless supply of guys? Maybe I'm supposed to click on the world's largest menu with the smallest icons on the left and figure out some sort of strategy? This is probably a good game that needs a significant amount of help from someone who isn't so close to it. 1/5

Oh, also had this bug - an enemy soldier gets to my trench, melees my soldier in that trench and stays there forever. He neither shoots or melees any more of my soldiers, nor do they shoot or melee him, but all of them aims his direction all the time, so when any other enemies show at the top, they have to reorient themselves. This happened around wave 5 and screwed up the whole run.

I've got the hard badge on 2nd Lt, hid all my starting riflemen in the only tree I had at the bottom-right corner, gradually upgraded all of them with BARs and grenades, eventually added a medic to that same tree, then set a couple spec ops and a medic to the opposite bottom corner - this setup got me right to wave 51.
Other times while trying to apply a strategy of some sort, like building some stuff and spreading the troops to detect saboteurs and avoid grenades, I had crazy things like motorcycle rush plus an armored car or an arty blitz on like wave 10-20.
Fun, but veeeeeeeery random game.

Anyone else dealing with teleporting bunkers and pill boxes? I occasionally discover my defensive structures magically teleport around the battlefield.

just had my best play through ever until it was ruined by bullshit had an AAA gun it stopped working for no reason then my AT shot at the ground 5 feet in front of it when there was no enemy there an killed one of my spec ops then an enemy motorcycle comes in kill its gunner driver is still alive almost across the border 3 of my troops right beside it AT gun fires at it kills all my men then the rest of my troops start fleeing. wtf why

Love how people enjoy this game when it's incredibly out dated. Head of to the developer's main page for the latest build. Also just a tip, don't get more than 6 soldiers (tanks AAA n shit count as 1) on the field. Because if you get 7 or more, the Germans start calling in Arty, Blitz waves and you get more unfair events popping up. To counter this, get cam net, any solider under cam nets won't be added to the troop count

Piles up 20 points to get the tank -> gun skill = 1. Ive never seen a unit, soldier or otherwise with 1 for skill until I saved for the tank.

I swear tiger tanks in particular are unkillable by antyhing but arty and anti tank mines.
I had a 50xp sherman, 10xp at gun, and a 0xp at.
The tiger stood at the top of the screen for 7 waves.
My sherman missed 12 times, my at guns missed 6 times, and the tiger turned and destroyed all three with three shots.

I have a great-laid defense, with a 1919, multiple riflemen, a medic and a command unit: I get mortared to death and killed by a 222. I equip my four starting guys all with shotguns and only call in a medic? I survive for half an hour.

I've found that most expensive troops are both too expensive and simply aren't worth it compared to other troops you can get. For example, 4 Spec ops troops appear to be much more efficient, and effective at fighting than the AAA gun and even the tank. This is only if the same price of the tank and AAA gun (20 points) is equal to the amount of spec ops troops (5 points,) therefore for one tank or AAA gun, you would be able to get 4 spec ops troops. Therefore, it is recommended you simply mass use spec ops troops for endgame as their grenades and general spamming will take down even some strong vehicles.
