The French resistance is amazing at taking fire :D. Like Trgh says, they have been pretty much coded to distract enemies from your main men. I dont use them.
I prefer to get all my 4 main guys with Ranger training and BARs and then build my force from there. I usually have a couple of guys with 90+ rifle skill by wave 50 or something like that, maybe earlier. I also have an officer because I have some Officer award which gives me a freebie at the start of every mission.
I have never bothered with defence structures since I got good and Ive lasted to about Wave 200 which is solid but with a few Bazookas its managable. DOnt waste your time on Tanks. The German tanks are better and 20 tact points could be spent better elsewhere like upgrading your current troops with further ranger training.

Found a bug. Build a pallaside wall, put an engie on it, wait until one of their guys sets TNT then spam click it, your engie will go instantly to max XP. Then just move him away from it. FIX QUICK! @@

Definitely a bunker glitch...
It moved to the other side of the map, and later it disappeared entirely without an enemy touching it.

101 waves survived with no protection built! :D I did this using only engineers, medics, tanks, aaa cannons, that other cannon(lolz 15 pt one), special operations, officers, and signalers :D

start the colonel option with 20 TP. Call in as many mortars as you can as soon as you can!!!=)

A good tactic is to keep your starting men and put em all in a line around the middle of the battlefield, usually when i do that it makes the game easier, If youre struggling send in more men, you should have enough tactical points to buy a tank aswell.

also, if ur a major and have the medal where you get +1 TP at the start, get a sig. then taunt then get paratroopers :D

lol my offficer ranked medic went 2 collect a crate on the end of the map and he accidentaly went off the screen!!!! rofl... atleast i have a sence of humor some people hear would go **** this game coz the idiot creator didnt make a good game at all... lol thats what some people did < :)

Still the best game around here imho, amazed at those surviving for 500+ rounds though, i can't even get close to 200:th round after all this time

It's fairly easy once you know what you're doing. Like, never ranger train a frenchie. Or, never give a Bar to a mortar.
