Overall, this is a really awesome game. While I wouldn't know it from personal experience, the balance between planning and luck (or lack thereof) probably reflects the reality of this kind of battle pretty well.
What doesn't reflect reality are a few glitches I've noticed. Sometimes, fortifications will randomly move from where they were placed to somewhere else entirely or just vanish all together. Also--and this is particularly painful to watch happen--tanks have a nasty habit of shooting themselves. Any chance you could fix these?

i dont like how medics will ALL run to the weakest, cus they dont even stack on healing make it where u can choose if u want to make them stay where they are

they should make a mud and blood 3 with multi - more troops to choose from - and a way to win, deffending is fun and all but winning makes it even bettter

As for vehicles, I personally find that they are pretty "sleepy", don't do much and seem useless at first. That is, until you learn how to build a REAL defence of tanks, and put shooters behind it. That's when the real fun starts. My point is: yes, vehicles seem dead and don't do shit most of the time. Yet, they are a very important element of the game when you finally decide to stop assaulting and want to build your defences. Well placed Jeeps and tanks can, as it has happened to me, get your squad to kill 30-40 waves without suffering a single casualty.

Guys, I'd like to adress some stuff. The game has flaws, yes. It's very random, yes (like real war situations, by the way...). But please stop hating, saying there is no strategy to it when you have played it but once. There IS a great lot of strategy to it, if you can't figure it out, check the Kong forums or google it. I personally find it incredibly interesting to not know what's coming next, and the random element makes it much more fun. Of course, if you don't get how to play properly it's not fun at all.
Check the forums, and like it says, don't be afraid to play around, to camp for enemies, to hide, try different things out, and when it doesn't make a difference, THEN say strategy is irrelevant in this game. Thank you.

i find it really annoying that the tanks are so damned expensive and yet they seem to do nothing. i had one for a full half hour and it just sat there, and when i was attacked by enemy armor myself, my tanks did nothing.
also, it would be really nice of you to make it so that tanks and jeeps are rated as the highest priority targets.

AH, WTF when you surrender it doesn't even give you a score.... I lasted ages and had to leave, surrender and nothing... 6hrs? for nothing? bah.

It'd be useful if you had a button or key to force clearing all shells, corpses, gibs and blasts from the battlefield.

... you should make it so that when you click something like ranger training, your tp doesn't go away, but it goes away when you click on the unit ;)

Notice of a couple bugs. One: When you pause the screen and a bazooka has fire or airstrike/artillery/closesupport is happening they will continue firing. New waves occasionally spawn when paused and supply drops can drop during pauses. Two: Sometimes soldiers will continue firing with no Germans or bodies on the map and there will be no bullet holes and will do this until their clip is empty and on most guys this wouldn't be a big deal but my gunner's been stuck for minutes. Still giving it a 5/5 for potential and fun

God this game rocks, 11 ribbons and rank major. it gets rly easy when u get ur frenchies to start with m1's and rifle bonuses =) just stick em in the front line trench and watch the germans fall.
my 2ndlt soldier with a bar pwns everything, as does my 2 2nd lt snipers

I love this game, would love a bit more skill and not so much luck in survival...but in war their has to be a certain amount of luck.... I like it.

There should be an option to send one to like training and increase there experience (but maybe take them off the field for awhile)

Sigh. Yet another game that relies mainly on random chance. The early game consists mostly of waiting around and hoping that your guys remember how to shoot their weapons before the enemy does. The mid game costs of hoping that the enemy doesn't suddenly begin a random grenade barrage before you get defenses up, and then in the end you're finally overwhelmed through sheer numbers.
Random is not strategy. Random is not fun.

"Finally this game can run badly on lower end rigs, especially when there is a bunch of body parts/dirt/shells/rocks/vehicle parts/empty mags/smoke flying around. I'll upload a lite version eventually."
Mmm, about 3-4 hours into the game, it almost becomes unplayable every spawn wave. I don't care what computer you have...
(I have an 8800 GTS, 2 GB of Ram, and a E6420 Core 2 Duo...)
Maybe I just wasn't intended to live for that long...
