only thing wrong with this game is instructions culd be better. someone trys to throw realism into a game and ppl hate it. its not super hard. its actualy only slightly hard. play any game from 10-15 years ago and youll see what hard is realy like. hgmaers these days are wimps.

Oh and the challenge is survive 25 waves, which is fine however once you die it dose not even tell you what freak'in wave you got to! What the F

Here is a good idea, lets make a game that is super hard. Then to really piss people off we will let them think they are doing well, then through the power of not testing a game we will turn the tides! Oh and on top on that lets make this weeks card go with this game!
If I could give it a zero I would.
Love the idea, execution sucks as well as descriptions and instructions.

It says that you don't need to designate targets... Bullshit! I had two guys walk right past my trench, noone else on screen except for my five soldiers!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well its a fun idea but its too slow, too hard, you get trown right in and the AI is bad. This could be a great game but its just too boring in my opinion. 2/5

Enemy soldiers casually strolling right over the top of a bunker with 3 soldiers in it who can't seem to shoot a man walking 6 inches away from them = 1 star.

Finally got the badge before the supergrenadiers came and wiped everyone out. Kong needs a "remove this game from my view" button so I can erase the shame of actually playing it.

Easy fixes:
1) Fair points-- player gets as many points as they cpu spends on its wave.
2) Gernades-- make the cpu less accurate or the player more
3) Cut out that cheesy cpu walking off the left/right side of the board crap.

This game is bad! I had a fairly decent army, but then an air drop dropped like 30 enemy troops onto the battlefield so I was left with 2 stupid french and a soldier. I waited for ten minutes while only getting 2 tatical points, and the germans just walked merrilly past my troops. Worse game then zilch!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I bet the reason why you can't directly control the troops is that fact that'd it'd be possible. Okay I am being pinned down by a machine gun, and two germans are walking in a different place.. What would you throw the gernade at? Well the game things two soldiers are far scairer then the machine gun currently kicking their ass...

Congratulations! You've just completed the Greatest Generation Challenge! You have earned a card from our collectible card game.

If you're gonna make it real, do it! Make the fighting balanced, have 1-hit kills from a machine gun or something and let us get plenty of guys out there quicker so it's more of a slaughterhouse. It's gay now. 1/5

This game would be good if:
enemies dies in 1 shot and your units hit MUCH more often. Many many more enemies- its just boring. And no enemy artillery- having your whole squad blown up in one shot is pointless.

hope this game ges updated, seems like it could be good... although currently sucks big time i give it a genorous 2/5 for now.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah I'm getting sick of trying to do these.. I have had german soldiers walk ALL the way through my guys, with 3 of them shooting at the german.. oh and a tommy gun at point blank SHOULD KILL SOMETHING.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
great idea...but very lousy work!
gameplay is very slow, acc of my units is set to about 10% (or less)...and all other stuff mentioned before...
example: i had 12 units on the field, spread out, all of them killed by 5 germans...
what would you like to say? US army sux?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heck, 2 hard.. but the strategy is to make spec n dig holes.. and hope no grenade kills u.. then make medics and finally make officers n sig guys.. hopefully and with a bit of luck u ll win however my best was 21 casualties.

Sorry this game is freaking awful. too many options with no organization, No status update, no information, horrible use of ui. There's a good game screaming to get out, but it's crap now.
1/5

This is an extremely good idea for a game, and very good in all ways. It's simply not a game type I enjoy, but im sure there are plenty of people that do, so I give it a 4/5, since its boreing to me but still very good and much better than I could do

gunner--wields a machine gun that is effective for suppressing. Giving the gunner a moment to set up will increase accuracy.
jeep--2 man vehicle. machine gun if it acquires a target is very deadly. Driver and gunner can both be shot separately from the jeep. Jeep itself is invulnerable to bullets.
tank--main cannon is large aoe and very deadly. Is invulnerable, and can provide both hiding and protective cover for your men (as long as the tank is called after your men are already on the battlefield) while your men can still shoot. Machine gun is deadly if it ends up hitting.
AA battery--fires a cannon rapidly with the aoe of an airstrike cannon. Very effective for large area suppression. Does not upgrade. Will also give a chance to shoot down enemy planes without calling for air superiority, but not guaranteed. Gunner can be shot separately.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Medic--heals units in an aoe around him at a pretty rapid pace, does not fight. Will heal even when suppressed. Since they're cheap and run very fast, they are sometimes a good unit to use to pick up faraway crates.
paratrooper--basically a soldier with some pretty good stats. Because they're dropped anywhere on the field, you might lose them and the tp before they're effective.
spec ops--a highly trained soldier who starts with an auto weapon and nades. Expensive, but very effective in the early game, but because all soldiers can upgrade rifle and morale with ranger training, not as useful in the later game.
engineer--comes with an auto weapon as well. Must be present and physically nearby to build your structures.

This game has lots of nice features, but sucks. Why? Because your troops are about as deadly as a 5 year old. Seriously, if you have a machine gunner firing on an exposed enemy, he should be DEAD. It shouldn't take 9 troops sorounding someone to take them down.
And then 1 enemy grenade kills half of your guys?
Not balanced in the slightest. Should be one shot one kill on enemies.

sniper--one shot, high damage unit. Hides while he's not shooting. Will prioritize targets in the back of the field or about to cross. When fully upgraded, leaves very little time out of cover and shoots quickly. If you're willing to risk it, can be used to pick up crates because of high speed and hiding.
flamer--has a flamethrower--only unit that can hit multiple targets at once: huge hit zone. Will light enemies on fire. Flaming enemies (and friendlies) can catch fire to friend and foe alike.
Bazooka--one shot to the center of a tank will kill it. rounds arm after flying for a few meters (about 2-3 units' space) and will strike anyone. Area of effect is smaller than a grenade, and rounds are usually stopped by dead bodies.
Recon--can move and shoot, and moves very fast. High in cost, but can be useful if you like to advance rather than defend--usually starts with pretty good stats.

how a soldier reacts depends on his experience...and to those that don't like this game, please stay the hell out of our way. We enjoy this game :D Have a nice day!

Easy way to do challenge.
Move up, build trench and put in 3 soldiers, get 2 flamers each side of trench and a medic to heal.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Too hard to get points - and I haven't seen any real connection between getting points and what happens on the battlefield. The soldiers can't hit a German standing a meter in front of them.

Riddle:
officer--improves soldier reaction time, necessary for airstrikes, can provide other stat bonuses (reduce crossing germans, improve morale, increase tp)
soldier--basic foot soldier
frenchie--basic foot soldier but worse--very cheap, good for keeping up front to draw fire or on his own if you can upgrade him. Can be very effective up close if you arm him a shotgun, although better with other weapons if he's upgraded.
signaler--calls in airstrikes and artillery--a basic soldier otherwise. Draws fire when making calls, walks slowly. Upgraded, just as effective as regular soldier.

An excellent idea implemented VERY poorly. I absolutely love the concept of this game and I hope that someone does a better version of it. The other comments do a good job of detailing the problems, but I'll sum up: the Germans are excellent, nearly unkillable soldiers whose weapons always hit their targets while your stalwart Americans can't hit the broad side of a barn and throw grenades and fire bazookas and flamethrowers into their own foxholes with remarkable regularity. The game also cheats on behalf of the Germans (they get the benefits of signalers and officers without having signalers or officers on screen), to say nothing of the fact that you will be massively, massively out-numbered pretty much all the time. A great idea, implemented poorly. 2/5.
