This would be a really good game if it didn't:
1)Have really crap troops who take about an hour to shoot anything.
2)Have a really bad tactical point gaining system that speeded up the amount you get every minute or something.
I would give it 3/5 mainly due to the variaty of troops that you can deploy.

70 xp shotgun, 33 xp shotgun, three 80+xp medics, 7 frenchies, a tommy gun, an engineer, 3 officers, a 20 xp sniper, a scout, 2 trenches, a 22 xp Signaller, with tower, calling in air superiority...all die to one arty strike. 197 germans killed (with 25.33 accuracy vs my 10.05 accuracy), which only counted as 22 freaking waves. This will (hopefully) be the only card challenge I ever skip. And to the people trying to defend it as "L2P its strategy not a shootr"...what strategy is there? I read the guides, it basically said to do what I had done on my own the first 5 attempts; build a nice mix of units and sacrifice an orphan to the dice gods so you don't lose to a plane/arty/etc. No strategy, no skill, pure luck, but not as much fun as Zilch (and zilch didn't take 45 minutes per failed card challenge).

not bad..seems to carry on my acct from the 1st mnb.. used hasty defense and got 1 french, 1 machine gunner, 1 medic and 1 sniper. sniper was killed very early in battle(like wtf? so fast die??!!)
after that just build 1 trench, 1 bunker and another trench infront of the bunker.. put frenchies in the trench infront of the bunker(they will help draw fire away) my machine gunner managed to get to 100 exp.. 89rifle dmg.. enough to stop anyone.. i suggest 1 norm infantry with bar and another spec ops beside him to help assist the gunner, get a officer and signaler and keep some spare pts in case you ned to call in air strikes to kill tanks or large amt of troops.. way to avoid airstrikes, build bunker, and hide inside.. but you need to know your arrangement of trrops in bunker, as you can't see them.. this lasted me till abt wave 70 until my imba machine gunner died(even with 2 medics beside lol).. thats when i got pissed and ended the game

How about an option to let OUR guys walk through the German limes without a scratch to counter their ability to do so..take away one iron cross for each ally who gets through?
Oh, and parking a flame thrower or two near the top of the screen seems to work well, too well, but since they're the only troops who actually hit anything and kill it, I recommend an army of flame throwers. I came back to this game to see if it became less frustrating. It didn't. And the fans who jsutify the boring randomness saying "it's WAR"...uh, NO, it's a game, a boring frustrating game. Fail.

I went to click on the link to instructions and it took me off of a currently well advanced game. You should make it pop up, if people have an issue they should learn to turn off popup blocker for this site.

am i playing on a tutorial or something? This game is way too easy get a jeep down at the german's in 2 mins and it with my 4 soldiers take out everything way too easily. 20 mins later i havent had a single casualty =/

Decent game, but there is no explanation of what each unit does, the "intel" really is too general. I'm playing on mostly general logic right now.

I enjoy reading all of these ignorant comments of people who are too lazy to read the instructions that are mainly off-site. 1. Press Shift to hide the buttons, the game specifically tells you this. 2. Use the Taunt button in the upper left (It looks like Fast Forward) to advance the next wave quicker. 3. The game is indeed luck based, to an extent, but strategy is moreso. Here's a hint: Build trenches ASAP. 4. The game is built as a simulator. This is why units move slowly and shoot badly, weapons weren't exactly effective (Or light) back in WWII. 5. Did I mention that there are links to guides RIGHT THERE? These are guides you can use your first time playing and get over 16000 points (Which advances you several ranks, and only ended up at that number because I let it run while I slept)
tl;dr version: Just because it has guns doesn't mean it's a shooter. Strategy games are slow, deal with it. You played Feudalism, didn't you?

This game has a very confusing user interface. There are far too many options, and almost none of them are explained. The basic concept of a pseudo TD game is good, but poorly implemented. Fewer options in this game would actually have made it more entertaining and fun.

@ everyone else. if i keep reading the comments im going to explode. so many jerks hating this game cuz A. they stink at games, B. they got a deploy or 2 of bad luck, or C. Theyr just jerks. IMO anyone who rates this game less than a 3 doesnt deserver to be called "gamer".

lol... decided to start with 4 officers. was working very well: I advanced a few screens, set up a trench+sandbags, had a medic and engineer, had a frenchie out front. Then one airstrike comes in and drops a big bomb right on my force, instant KO. oh well, there's luck for ya.

rocket launchers and crates keep coming while paused. enemy still shoots while paused. when man in the 20 mm cannon dies the cannon gives no cover. and the guy dies to easily. i dont mind the slowness. i think its good. dissapointed with it though. great game. to many bugs.

Yea make pause actually work and NOT let the enemy shoot my people, I paused it to go to the bathroom to come back to see all my troops DEAD.

Andorido, its a war game and its random as far as I can tell you are gonna be wiped out sometimes.That doesn't make the game suck.It just emans you have bad luck.

Has the potential to be a top 5 game, but way too many things need to be fixed. Computer is too hard. Your guys can get stuck under the buttons (put the buttons off the battlefield), can't see your guys under bunkers and trees, no pause button, a better intel screen to explain what everything does would be nice (instead of having to play for 5 minutes to get enough points to buy something, only to have it destroyed 1 minute later by a grenade thrown from half way accross the battlefield). Oh yeah...how is this one different from the first?

such a dull game
it takes forever do move the characters and they allways miss.
and the trees and rocks could atleast make the germans go around them not through them
and where is the wave counter it doesn't even say how many waves you have done after you have died

whatever happened to the learning/difficulty curve? b4 the badges...germans would come in waves which was slighty overpowering compared to ur own troops. now waves are progressivly harder and ive got tanks against my 3 snipers. NO ROOM FOR ERROR if you want to achieve hard badge.

I was doing amazingly perfect on the map I was in. Trees on my side, absoloutly nothing on the germans side. Then suddenly the map teleported, I had 1 Tactical Point, and no soldiers. :S?
