Instructions for obtaining BotD: Start game. Mute it. Do something else for awhile. Come back, and you will 1) be dead, and 2) have the BotD
It worked for me, anyway XD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Asshole allied bazooka blew my crate of supplies that this crappy pilot dropped right in the middle of the Germans. But it's ok, he still wasn't as crappy as this game.

Now that the BotD has brought some attention back to this game and people are sharing their opinions... I'm starting to realize why it's so underrated. People, you have to have some patience! Unlike many other games, this game requires some actual thought, strategy, etc. Once you start to understand the gameplay, I assure you that you will have a good time. Please, give the game a chance before you give it a horrible rating when it deserves a good one purely because it throws you straight into the game with little instruction. Give it a chance!

How do I collect a supply crate? I just want the badge. This game seems pointless if anything, I'm surprised it even has badges for it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Playing this game feels like watching someone else play an extremely bad tower defense game, and occasionally sending them advice through chat even though I have no idea how the game is supposed to be played either.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I shouldn't have to read a wiki to play a flash game.
The sound in this sucks, it's so bad.
Kinda fun, but gets boring after about 5 minutes of sitting and not understanding who is dead and who is alive.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To everyone complaining about the lack of instructions: The game description over there on the right has a link to the game's wiki that gives instructions and details every single thing... about this badly balanced game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Okay... seriously, if I see one more person complain about there being no instructions, I give up on the internet. If you look under the instructions tab, there is a link that will send you to the field manual which will tell you how to play.

so im waiting on loading, loading, loading.... wtf said i had to press a green button after 2 refresh i decided fine ill click on the advertisement to my surprise the game loads?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heads up. Don't wait for the loading screen to stop blipping along. It doesn't stop. You just need to push the button...How hard would it be to have it say, "Loading Complete. Click Button to Start"?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is really boring, I have no idea what I am doing but I am still winning.
It should at least be hard or something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
2/5 stars.
1 star because the game was confusing and difficult to play, 1 star because as confusing as it was, it was indeed ultimately playable.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
characters too small to see them - a lot of crap on the field and no idea what it is - do I know what I am doing - NOT - where are the instructions with at least a bit of detail - sorry but 2/5 not impressed!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game will not be at 4.0 after todays badge... definitely one of the worst badge of the day I seen. I wonder how you play or get a crate or anything?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I couldn't even open the crate as the supplies were destroyed by the Germans and that my soldiers couldn't get closer because they stopped for no reason.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game kind of sucks. And by kind of I mean really. Might have been better if I knew what I was doing, but I'm not to fond of remote controlled explosives blowing up one of my guys in the first wave, especially since bullets didn't seem to be doing anything to it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For those are having a hard time understanding this game, here's some things to get you started:
This is probably the most important, if you have over 6 soldiers/vehicles on the field at one time, the Germans will start shelling you with very deadly artillery and bombs, however, you can hire an engineer to let you build a "camo net" to get around this. Every soldier/vehicles under camo does not count towards being being bombed.
Your soldiers fire automatically at the closest enemy. Take advantage of this by putting your best soldiers behind weaker ones. As they get kills, they shoot faster and get more accurate.
Trees, rocks and palisades block line of sight, and soldiers cannot fire at what they can't see. Sandbags and trenches provide bullet protection, bunkers provide bullet protection and explosion immunity but make your soldiers fire slower.

Half baked interface (all mouse over text is on the top, hard to read soldier stats, etc.), and next to no instructions. Rushed out perhaps?

''Where is the tutorial'' ''This game is too hard for me'' --> All of you sound like mindless casual SCRUB typical Kongie gamers, jesus christ. Stick with flash games if your mindsets are forever like this. That's why people like you guys can never appreciate other games. Haha.

want to end the current run well you can under command decisions. Want to move your soldiers it only takes 2 clicks to move from point a to point b. your guys are not targeting the enemy well they have little to no field exp after a while they will learn to shoot the enemy. plus this game was the second or third game this guy made and he mad it 7 years ago so don't cry when there is a bug or everything is not up to todays standards. Also this game was not made for casual gamers. if you are too lazy to go to mudandblood.net/wiki or click the intel button to learn anything about the game then why are you even playing games to begin with?

"The game is meant to be unfair and brutal". That's just an excuse to make bad game design decisions or to excuse the fact bad game design decisions were made. Not being able to end the current run is one of those bad design decisions which cannot ever be put under "but it's supposed to be unfair and brutal". When the game is done "loading" it should go to the main menu, not sit there without telling the player anything which is, again, a bad game design decision and doesn't fall under "supposed to be unfair and brutal". Having to click multiple times to get a soldier to go someplace and the speed at which everything moves are a couple more issues the game has which aren't "unfair or brutal" just eternally grating on the player's patience. Parts of the game "might" be considered "unfair and/or brutal", but getting there isn't worth the time investment needed only to find out that none of the game is unfair or brutal at all.

Oh yeah, it's also nice for a change to have a game that offers instructions, but doesn't spoon-feed you every step of the way. It doesn't pat you on the back for just pressing a few keys. Means there's a learning curve. If it turns out there is method to the madness, that would work for me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
At first, confusing as h*ll. Started poking around, found some instructions under "intel" on the opening game screen. Also, there's a Wiki with all kinds of details (see the, ahem, Kong "instructions" tab). I guess medics heal if you stand close enough. Also, I think having 6+ men on the field causes the Germans to bring out all the really horrible stuff. Like the dark sense of humor. I think this game will grow on me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wow, really boring. Sounds effects are annoying and loud, and all the other complaints I read are totally right. 1/5, would not play again.
