While the gameplay, strategy, and the party and upgrade system are WAY better than the original, I can't give the game a 5/5 for a simple reason: there is no challenge to it. I died once in the entire playthrough (twice in another where i chose to be a necromancer) during the early stages. Having your ass kick by the AI makes us think about different strategies to engage our enemies, which makes it an important part of an RPG.
However, this -and its relative shortness when the R key is used- are the only severe flaws with the game. It excels in everything else. 4/5

Hey everyone, working on an update at the moment (badges soon!)... I need additional information regarding the Ancient Tome popup bug a lot of you have experienced. I am not able to recreate the issue so I need you to PM/Shout me every detail you can think of related to it (during battle/skill screen, which tomes it effects, is it still an issue after restarting, when did you first notice the bug, etc). Thanks!

Just saying, the stuff about the game is obviously not directed at MadiBanani77, just the first part, should've added a better transition there.

MadiBanani77: Nawwwwwwwwwwww, it doesn't say that in the tutorial or anything! Also, one complaint about this game (it's nothing big) i wish the animations could be more complete, like them walking/running toward the enemy rather that floating. Other than that, it's virtually flawless, oh, and it can use a bit more of a grinding aspect just in case you get stuck at a part (though you would need to slow down lvl up rate then...)
Haha, then you're the person I did the LOTV1 animations for :P The issue with the full animations is they slow down combat a lot which players universally dislike (especially on slower computers), so I tried to tighten all the combat animations and remove anything that wasn't completely necessary.

@BraveDogBFG: I've been able to summon 2 Demons or two of any summon for a total of 6 team members... But with the long cooldown, I agree that the double summon buff is useless unless it reduces cooldown as well.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
With a max battle party size of 5, the level 15 double summon skill is useless. And I know you can drop a party member, but why would you want to?!

I've killed all the demons in the cave north of Icecliff, including those through the portal, but the quest is still incomplete. What gives?

Here's a possible (minor) bug: I had one character equipped with 2 legendary and otherwise rare items, yet I would not get the achievement "Fully Equipped" for ("rare or better items"). This I got only when I put three of the rare items on another character who had magic ones there respectively.

Normally don't comment on games but this one was so good I just had to say thanks for all the work everyone put into this game.

...I'm a mage. the first ally i got was a rogue (bow. archer.) then. when i got my 2nd, it was anther mage. i'm fine with that, but it is kind of annoying since i have all of this warrior stuff and no warior yet. maybe make it where your 3rd ally makes it where you have all 3 classes then the 4th can be a repeat.

DEVELOPER RESPONSE FROM VIOLATORGAMES
You're welcome :) The entire game was built before premium content was added. I just wanted it to be a little something extra for those that help support the game. A lot of people donated kreds for LOTV1 and got nothing. Now you can get some sweet bonus content for your donation!

amazing game. haven't finished it, but i'd say it could rival the epic battle fantasy series! 5/5 from me!. Keep it up!

I loved the first LotV, and by the grace of you and all of the supported developers/people, I love the sequel just as much. Thanks Violator Games for a radical and fun experience! My closing statement will be of a addition that you can add to the next addition to LotV if you so do chose to continue this epic story. I personally would like to see player-set formations, such that, you can chose the turn order of your party.

About halfway through the game, I was like "Rogan has to be the final boss. That would be the ultimate twist." And it seems I was right on the money.

Yea I'm having the same problem as itekisan, it's really inhibiting my immersion and enjoyment after spending so much on new gear only to be told I cant equip it

Fked up part is, there's a quest in a non-premium area that asks you to go into premium territory. I don't like that. But I'd have to say these two games are my favorite flash games ever devised. 4.9/5

I'm glad nothing bad happens when you die. In most RPGs I grind myself too powerful to avoid death, but in this it's no big deal so you don't have to worry

In Legend of the Void 2 the turns required for the tomes to work in-game don't match the number of turns announced as needed in the skill screen.

The hidden wolf merchant on the island near Thornwick makes me want to play Morrowind again. I hope there's a demon merchant somewhere too.

I really don't get the locked items. For instance, I am a warrior (with a rogue companion), Strength 21+3, have in my inventory a legendary Demonic Falchion of Balance which says "Strength required: 21", yet I cannot equip it. Also, in shops I spent lots of money on items that gave no hint whatsoever that I would not be able to equip them later on from ANY of my stats.
Does anybody have an idea here? Am I not getting something essential, is it possibly a bug, or what else could be the issue?
According to your explanation, you should be able to equip the Falchion. Try refreshing and check again, if it doesn't work send a bug report with everything relevant showing.

little idea for improvement: if we have items equiped which have the same enchantment, let them stack on the list of the item effects. for example if we have 3 times mana leech it shouldnt show which items give the effect, but the total amount of it
