And, finally, the balance issues. Like I said in the second sentence, even the weakest, worst-equipped bandit can kill two or three of your soldiers with ease, not to mention your hero himself. The one time I mananged to get farther out than the nearest city, I died, because hordes and hordes of bandits anally raped my soldiers. And forget taking another city, because you can't. You find that even the weakest of villages have massive, well trained, well equipped militias that will rip your troops apart and drink their still-warm blood. This might have been immaterial if you could through endless waves of men at your foe, but with the unit cap, they often seem to have more. I can't talk about prices because I never saw more than two cities.
I'm sorry if this review is offensive, but Feudalism 1 was (and still is) one of my favorite games, and seeing this shlock maquerading as a sequel breaks my heart. Fix it, remake it, or take it off. Until then, it gets a 1/5.

Unplayable. You get attacked constantly, and often the "bandits" seem more like professional militaries, judging by the way they mow through your troops - and you. Speaking of you, the main character sucks hairy fat man balls. Even the worst units in the game are far superior to your hero, and the skills don't go far enough to come even close to making up for the hero's *****y stats. The interface is unintuitive, with menus hidden in the bottom, buildings looking like eachother, and skills difficult to upgrade. I don't mind the addition of magic and such, but it's implemented so terribly that it subtracts even further from the experience.

Army too large at ~20/25? I loved building up a huge army in the first version with soldiers from all my conquered cities.
It also seems like you start with too much cash.
Third, the text pop-ups explaining each item are too large, they block what's on the screen a little too much for me.

It's really really hard. the only way i ever managed to take my first town in feudalism was to just fill my army with as many troops as i could before i got bored, now with and army limit I still, after... idk the exact amount of time, but it was roughly equal to all three streetlight manifesto albums, i still have yet to take a village. attacks are too slow, switch weapons is too slow, and its not cool when my character just stops moving for no apparent reason.

I didn't like it... at all. The first one was MUCH better. For instance, I didn't like the whole army too big thing it ruined a lot of the game. I gave the game a 3/5 and that was being generous.

if youre dying too quickly, maybe put a few points into constitution. i bumped it up to lowly 30, got a cheap horse and i can tank an entire bandit army solo (useful when all your buddies die). get the 2nd healing aura and i dont even need to use potions.

I prefer the original, but the 2nd isn't too bad.

If you get 1hit KOed in the beginning - solution, don't be on the front lines.
If you can't take over a town right away...then earn money and do it later with a bigger army.
If save doesn't work for you...what can I say? Maybe you should allow the game to save first...
-right click
-settings
-"How much can chat.kongregate.com store on your computer"
-Unlimited or w/e you want
Thus, saving works. If it still doesn't work, then you didn't save. Or clicked the wrong number. Cause it works.

i remember in feudalism 1 when i would rush into battle killing many soliders...now i die jsut walking near them. This game resides in the shadow of its older brother

lol some ppl are complaining its too easy, some are complaining its too hard. it just means people are making impulse comments without playing it for a bit longer. like... why copy paste that big fat comment with stuff like "can't update sword skill"... maybe click on the skills button and open your eyes?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Gavrikov, for one you CAN upgrade things like sword skill, or is that a recent update? anyway seems fine to me, but i agree with you that hero is too weak and the army too big thing is stupid.

No problem at all steam rolling this game with the same tactics I used in the first incarnation; namely ignoring the hero's stats and beefing up the passive skills that help my army. It appears the skills your hero gets are dependent on at least the race you pick. I picked Olga and for infantry and ranged boosts which work well at the start

Things wrong:economy is way off balance. WTF army too big. Too easy to die. Some charector aspects are messed up. just 2/5 a huge dissapointment.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There's a bug, if you load the auto save after you die during a battle, the city you're fighting in becomes owned by you.

Feudalism was awesome.
This is unplayable. Even with a full army, I can't touch the closest enemy village. Their units are dealing an average of 85 damage, handily defeating my army in seconds before moving on to me. SERIOUS balance issues. Please rethink your numbers.
Until then, 2/5

takes forever 2 buy & sell men for army... such an annoyance... perhaps you could make a buy 5 or 10 or 50 or 100? and a sell all?

After waiting months for Feudalism II to come out, I've found myself a bit disappointed with this new sequel. I thouroughly enjoyed Feudalism I. The second one, however, I feel loses, a great deal of what was in the first one. The introduction to aura and magic is okay, but the entire idea is executed poorly, and is very unessacary. Also, the layout has changed...in a bad way. It doesn't look or feel like Feudalism I, for example, the characters look thinner and smaller than the first one, also, the worst part of this is that: you CANNOT upgrade your character's certain aspects like the first one. You can't upgrade certain parts like its sword skill, and what the **** is with your hero? He's weak, weaker than the rogues and bandits you fight, and what is with the "army too big" thing. (Whoever copies this comment did not write it.) This game is completely disappointing, misses out on all the fun in the first one, and just fails.

Not bad i guess...
Not too new or any major imporvements as far as i can tell. Also, I accidentally refreshed in the middle of a game after i LOADED from save 1. Then i got back and resume game load save 1 and nothing is there. Fix please?

This game do have some new things, new heroes, new citys, but i expected a harder game, on Feudalism II, you troops dont do any ****, if you fight alone, on lvl 30 or so you can defeat every army... so, im more one that is disappointed --> 3/5
