This game could have used a lot more polishing. The complete lack of music is a major drawback, fire-thrower units both enemy and ally tend to kill you and your army before you know what's going on, and on a related note the game always crashes whenever the player character is killed by a fire-thrower unit's attack. I would not have considered such a game as "best of" anything.

I somehow managed to get the Medium Badge while I was in a city, by equipping one of those magical weapons that increase damage by 0-1000. I'm 100% certain I did NOT deal 500 damage before this, so I'm guessing this is the easy way to get this badge.

Great game, but I HATE the WAY to many bandits you encounter. Once you got more than 10 cities, every two steps you take you get a bandit encounter. I litteraly got 8 encounters between Fukushima and Dubkee. Come on?!

If you invest in buying the Black Samurai from Echigo and a couple of good archers and snipers, it becomes really easy to conquer cities because of the Black Samurai's resistance, just remember to have enough money to stack up on at least 20 at all times. They rarely die, but in some fights enemies are really unpredictable and they wither at your numbers. They're 5000 gp though, so you better have a lot of money on you to keep up with buying the Black Samurai.

Hey here is a helpful hint if u choose the far east people go to Echigo as soon as possible get rid of them then train their soldiers they r 1 of the best

I got lucky and i got 'Mysterious kinomo of death' itt increases hit chance by 100% and crtical chance by 90% + itt has a chance to do 0-1000 damage so that medium badge was pretty easy :P

@r2d2go ah yes you are correct but if you are a veteran of the game like me who played it at the age of seven and know every single strategy in the game i can beat it in a few hours, now let me eplain my strategy buy a bunch of health potions get tons of with troops with coordinating lines of archers and axeman (this is a forest land strategy ) then go take the second strongest city in the land also the amount of troops you need should take about 40 minutes of placing, then after you have conquered that city sell all the items you got and buy yourself some armor and health potions then buy a ton more troops (you may have to do a couple quests first for the money) and take a cruise to the hero village conquer it and get those sweet axeman and rush through the game (note:this is a speed strategy for getting past the game

@StarFalcon: But to get that "one major city", you need tons of money and then a minor village, then tons of money then a major village, then tons of money and then a minor city, then tons of money and then a major city, THEN take a "hero village", and THEN you've won.

If you have problems with medium badge - upgrade your skills in using certain kind of weapon (for example Far East Weapons), find or buy the best weapon for your class (for Eastern its Black Spirits) and get from enemy blue armor/helmet wich increase damage.

I love when you try to capture your own town the guard pops up and says,"Sire! This town is already ours! We can't kill our own people for nothing!" Then your answer is, "...hmm Okay."

We'll pay you 200 dollars to kill some rogues. No? How about 300? No? What if I offered 100? How about 200 again? Are you sure you don't want to do it for 100? Forget it, just deliver this while you're walking to the next city for 600.

here is a hint:if you lose at a town battle goto main main menu go and chose your person click ok and the town will be yours

I need to correct my previous comments. to get 500 damage you need to look for some armor or weapon with a "mysterious" prefix, that will give a random 0-1000 damage on every hit. press + if you found this helpful

100 intellegence and 5 berserker and 5 forest keeper from mededevo is enough to take over all the cities, i wonder why those stupid enemies never level up XDD
