and, Alexandria IS easy... but yes, you need strong troops to do it. THE very strongest (basically immortal) are the Riding Axe-men guys from Grouzeno (1000 HP to begin, add some intelligence and "art of war" modifiers puts them well over 2000 HP. if you have patriotism for them too, even HIGHER.), or the Black Samurai... granted, Black Samurai die quickly to the fire attacks (Greek Fire and whatsit) because those ALWAYS hit, and due damage to everybody... but so do any and all of the enemy troops near the explosion site...

hmmmm, one word for anyone afraid of dying... forget about potions for yourself, purchase the "restores 1/3rd of HP to WHOLE ARMY" for 50 each, shift-click to buy quickly, if you have a hundred of these, it's quick and easy to get that kind of money, and you can keep yourself alive, as well as make your troops survive a LOT longer... by spamming that button...

just add strength 2 deal more dmg (melee),get best weapon, high dmg weapons r spears and axes, if u can get a weapon that has that blue thingy that increases dmg it could help 2

a glitch on how to get a city is start a new game try to conquer a town die. Then start a new one and boom.I've only done it with the trader guy getting Alexadria.Helps a lot with strong troops quick.

All city have different levels Troops and defence but if you die you lose the battle so u should let your troops fight then u fight

Haha, if you click on a town which has a red name, it says that you have to fight them, but if you while still talking to the guard, click on the boat-house, you can get out of the fight:)

i just stand back watch my men fight mostly they die alot but eventually we win the battles, this game is so great but needs a couble of things like free boat rides if you control the city, and it would be great if you can recruit any soldiers type from any place and if you can sell things in the inventory all at one time, and so on but this game as i said before is so great and awesome. (sorry if i miss spelled some words i am not so good with spelling :D)

...I defeated Echigo and found Mysteriouds Black Samurai Armour of Death. I put it on and got the medium badge. No fighting, just equipping it gave me the badge. o.O

The potions are utterly glitched. I bought 5 large ones and they all disappeared on one use. Likewise the scrolls are broken.

I got the hard achievement, but only ever did 210 max damage... So I have no idea how to get the medium achievement. Seems a little backwards.

A very easy way to beat the game is to be the ninja's then keep capturing their cities until your strong enough to capture Echigo the Samurais academy then just get a bunch of samurais and put them first i captured all the cities and i think i only lost 1 or 2 of them......oh and make sure to get high intelligence and dexerty too

2nd Hint: Focus on intelect, Art of war and Patriotism first, when they all are maxed your units will deal about +200 dmg at each hit.

Hint Do not by potions The scrolls are far more powerfull since they heal all and they scale with the hero and the units while the potion only heals the hero.

@dizzydude: I had the same problem, but when I tried clicking on the city behind the dude who declares war to you, I didn't have to fight him.

I'm stuck in a dieing loop, took over a place, idk why i went toward n enemy base but i only had two soldier, and whenever i load the game back at the enmy thing. That sucks.

I was going to give this game a heap of stars, but then i beat the whole second half with heroes that i got by juking a battle hiding behind a box so they came at me 1v1 with mysterious katana. Terrible difficulty cliff
