I wondered about that too kelsyk. As far as I can tell, we just can't. That's why my strategy was simply to max my unit hp and dmg skills and hire fast horsemen, while I sat at the back spamming the heal-all item, and tossing the odd flask of greek fire.

question: all my troops ranged attacks seem to be able to go up or down to hit a unit that is not directly in line with the unit. my ranged attacks to seem to be able to do this. Is it that I can't see them and they actualy are, my ranged can't, or am I doing something wrong (need to press some button to get it to do that)?

xxrenoxx DO NOT GET THE OFFLINE VERSION it's glitched to f-ck.
when you bump into the "die and respawn" glitch, as in you die in mid-town battle and part 2 battle you respawn with n/a money and exp, its unplayable
good game online tho :p

Fun, I like the concept. And again, I agree with everyone else about the sell all button being added, it would make things go a lot faster.

I really don't like this game. I think I would like it better if it was turn based, and if there was a little more detail. 3/5

It depends, max damage per second would be 4 death items, one of which must include Greek fire. Otherwise, I'd say two black ninja-to swords of death with two other death items, although this is not the most in one hit yet...
I'd probably use an elite crossbow of death with 3 death items in my other slots, just because it allows me to avoid being directly attacked, but that's just me...

I used the forest ranger. Mainly cause i like there great hero and with patriotism and art of war they run threw the game like nothing. Also because I can use crappy armor with good specials to boost damage and just range from afar. :)
Any1 know the what the max damage set up is?

Empty primary hand. Equip expensive bow in offhand. Drag 1h melee weapon to offhand. Wa-la, the 1h melee weapon will be moved to your empty main hand, leaving the bow in your offhand as well as a copy in your inventory. Fighting yourself is slow, max your recruits and boost your Int and unit-improving skill, they do most of the work anyway. Just sit back and spam the heal-all item.

Great game but like everyone else has said its really easy once you get past the start. Two things that would make this game better would be that you could buy weapons and armor for your army and if you could lvl up your men.

i stick with black knights on front line, and elite snipers on second line. black knights own with 750 hp + shield, and do 120-180 damage. havnt ever lost one.

Like other have said it's a great game. The best part, by far, is the middle of the game, after you get over the hard beginning and before you start having too much money to know what to do with.
There is a problem with the amount of money you get by the end of the game, and the quality of your troops. For the last 5-10 cities I was able to do nothing and win without losing any troops, which was kinda strange.

A pretty fun game, but as the others have pointed out, once you're past the initial hump and build some momentum, it gets really easy. Also, I don't know about you guys, but all I needed were a few really high HP meat shields up front, and a demolisher or two behind. Then all I had to do was sit back and spam the heal-all-units items. It's just too slow to play the 1v1 hero, you're better off maxing your Int and the unit hp skills, and throwing greek fire yourself. Most of the time your mounted units are in the enemy's face by the time you even moved a few steps from the rear anyway.
