Get alot of scroll of small healing and keep using it while you attacking enemies , it will keep your troops alive and the scroll is cheap (sorry for the bad english)

Best troop to recruit "Great Hero" in the upper right village (grouzeno) costs 1500 and have the best HP, Attk, and def in the game.

"Mysterious [insert equip name here] of death" and "Crushing [insert weapon name here]" is the best equip to get the medium badge since both of them give 300 to 1000 atk power

To get the medium badge you need to use the unique items - They don't seem to have any different stats but if you go into inventory and highlight them you can see the bonus' they grant. I changed my armor and helmet and went from 275 to 500 in one battle.
Rate this up so new players can see it.

about the medium badge:
try to get "crushing", "bind", or "of rage" items they all add a lot of dmg ( any blind of rage gives 60-160 dmg, crushing is another +100-300dmg)

Ughh... I sold all of my soldiers and equiped greek fire to try and get the badge, but one guy has a horse the same speed as mine and constantly stays behind me. It doesn't let me have a sword or anything for another weapon, and because of my awesome armor he can"t seem to kill me!

At the end of the game, I found myself selling all my troops and soloing citys to keep it difficult, although It really wasn't that hard even after I did.

Medium Badge suggestion... Started with the crossbow lady... got 2 blue items of "crushing" and all points into intelligence and I hit for 619 not crit.

I did the Medium Badge as far east Empire hero with about 120 Str and the best Ninja-tos (the ones you can buy at Echigo). The key to reaching high damage numbers is using the right blue colored items. They often give you tremendous amounts of damage in exchange for defense. To get some good stuff, the city- conquest battles can be repeated by loading old save states.
Also, did anybody notice that a city in the game is called Fukushima?

THere are two ways to get "Strength of a Warrior" (Deal 500 damage) One is to stack magic items on yourself to make it where you do a-lot of damage. Or alternatively you can max out your Intelligence, Patriotism, and Art of War, stats. This will make it where your minions will do the damage for you, and it will also make it easier to wipe the floor with the other tribes. (Making an easier time of the "High Warlord" Badge.

50 intelligence, max out Patriotism and Art of War. Conquer home-country, fielding entire army of the best of whatever is available. Hero never has to do a thing but watch.
