i found the strongest troops u can get i staryted out as a ninja and got a good army with ALOT of back up and when i came to attack Grouzeno and won i was able to get a horse man troop that did 300 dmg most of the time and had 1000hit points and i almost never lost a troop and they cost like 1500

press new game, click on the character you want to be, right-click and choose play. You get unlimited gold and like 2k exp points.

@Allbob : at Grouzeno there's also a Great Hero... It's a mounted melee troop that, AFAIK, is the best melee troop in the game. Sure, this unit doesn't dodge alot, but with patriotism/art-of-war/intelligence and being native wood-elf-thingy, they have 3600HP and a damage from roughly 700-800 (without critcal, that is). I like that combo better than a slow ninja. Takes too long for that ninja-dude to get to the other side of the battle screen.

Apart from noting my lack of punctuation, I would like to emphasize that I hope intelligence/art-of-war/patriotism get nuked in the sequel. It's far too imbalanced.

Buff up patriotism first, then intelligence as you max out patriotism, then buff patriotism again until you reach 100 in patriotism... When that happens, switch over to art of war and buff up to 100... I beat the game as female wood-elf-thingy in 45 minutes with my 5 frontline heroes of Grouzeno at 3600 HP and 5 elder mounted archers at 3300 HP or something like that top damage was at +800 with no critical... Too easy this way, almost to the point where it ruins the game...

bwahahaha! I found the soft spot. Echigo on one of the islands has one troop: an unstopable samurai. Lots of money to buy like 30 and you'll win anywhere

some typos, very good game... the need to save often is a sign of a good game... enjoyed it after 10 min of play... will be playing a lot more!

Use the best warriors you can get in first row, then best archers in second row. Get 10-20 warrior replacements. Buy several scrolls of rage and as many scrolls of small healing as you can get.
In a battle immediately use a scroll of rage and every few seconds use a scroll of small healing - this renders you practically invincible.

ugh taking over a town then my full healing potions wouldnt work but great game i mean really some bad spelling i give it a 7/10

If a city hates you and attacks when you come in, just click on a building and you go to that building rather than be attacked, and can go through the town until you leave.

i might add other sugestions - quest lists - they give u 4..5 quests with difficulty and payment to choose from, more quest types like fighting against a man eating wolf or bear, defend a village against sum rufians, what Kitana said made me think what not upgrade troops with equipment to, when a soldier makes sum level he could wear other stuff and be made sumthing stronger

First off: entertaining 4/5.
Some suggestions for a possible sequel:
1. more emphasis on hero combat, once you field the max. number of men, it becomes so full and fast paced that your hero doesn't see much action - how about duels with enemy leaders?
2. Experience and upgrades for your troops, in this game, you simply replace everything with high powered troops as soon as you have the money - where are the tough veterans?
3. More ways to spend money (hero upgrades, more one-use items or buying magical stuff...)

i have a fine bow of diveine light: +200% hp - 40 % damage, and a kimo of death: - 80% hp, set def and doge to 0%, but +0-1000 damage. i have more hp and damage now. :)

i know cheats click on charecter who u want to be then right click and press forward and u have NaN gold and u be lvl 50 with 1600 skill points

Glitch: First go to new game. Then click on the character u want. Then Right click. Then press continue button.And when you go into your city,u got infinate money and 1250 or 12500 free points
