Why does everyone want great heroes so badly? Start as Sieg then take all of the far east while leveling your dex stat. once dex is at 200 start leveling int and the skills patriotism and art of war. then go recruit black samurais in echigo and you can take down anything the game throws at you.

Tip for the hard badge: Take over Grouzeno as fast as possible. Hire lots of Great Heroes. With those it will be easy to get the hard badge. And if you wan't, take over Mededevo too and hire Berserks. Great Heroes are way better than Berserks, but Berserks attack fast and make lots of damage. + to keep alive!!!

To get the 3rd badge, start as the Far East, do a couple quests and kill rogues until you can take out Kozuke. Then, keep killing rogues, and take ~25 swordpeople (no ranged) and conquer Echigo. Do quests there (you can get up to 6000 gp from rogues), and get 2 scrolls of rage and 12 or so samurai. Then conquers every small villiage, buy a ton of scrolls and samarai, then stomp everyone else.

Dont bother buying health potions ( because they only heal yourself), Instead buy scrolls of healing because they heal most of you and your ally's health and they're affordable.

like "whangster" said the best faction to start as is in the far east because of their wepons units. "Darkness" is one of the best wepons in the game and u get it so easily.

the advantage of feudalism 2, is that quests give more gold, and you can sell items more quickly, but i think this is better because of the special items

Start with female east empire hero!if you conquer Echigo you will have the Black Samurai(strongest unit in the game) and you will be able to boost them with patritism!20 Black samurai can beat all the game!

all you really need to do in this game is start in the east lands and then get the ninjas and patriotism. then you can go straight to the capitals everywhere and take them.

i think this game should have the possibility to build up your city's and upgrade it defense's..just a thought... and maybe a main menu button ?
