This game is fun up until you conquer your home capital, then the entertainment disappears like magic, never to return again. It does gets intresting to start, but once you get enough conquersm your hero virtually becomes useless. Art of War and Patriotism are two of the most overpowered abilities, because once maxed out, you could send a set of simple soldiers to crush the strongest of armies without replacing them. But no, just to make it easier, you can buy upgraded units. Black Samurai are easily the most overpowered, and if your with a far east character, well...the game is over. Beat the game to get badges and never play again, easiest badges of all time, pracitcally slept through it. 3/10 for great beginning, but repetitive and boring gameplay....

I think it would be cooler if it was more like the totalwar games, so you can upgrade your cities to make better troops, so the trade cities actually did stuff, like more income, or weapons of other nations.
But other than that, its an ok game,
I give a 3.5/5

There are a couple of things I want to point out about this game:
1. When you have ranged weapon and your guy is facing left with a tree or something behind you, you can only have one attacker at a time and if you have mysterious of death stuff with almost always 1hitkill then you are unstoppable.
2. Black samurais are pretty much unstoppable. I went through whole game except the Far East and only lost one; Except for in Alexandria because of Greek fire I lost 5.
3. Horses with 7 speed are WAY too fast.
4. There’s nothing to do when you get all 32 cities.
5. You need more quests to do than "Take this package to..." or "Kill those bandits over there...".Something more in-depth, like quests involving moving to multiple cities and version unique enemies for unique items.
6. Heaps of spelling mistakes, like the Ra-Garod sign and on special item details.
7. Greek fire is too good. 5 Greek Fires killed 4 Black Samurais.

8. Holy Cross suck, and East Empire and Trade Empire are too good. Holy cross have bad weapons and heroes, East Empire have Black Samurais, and Trade has Greek fire.
9. Need a “sell all items except those with specials” button. Takes ages to go through and sell everything, especially after beating a few cities at a time.
10. Very addictive battle system, but the battles tend to be focused on the top of the field.
11. Archers and ranged units can attack units in different rows to themselves, but your hero cant do this with a ranged item.
Graphics: 8/10

Sound: 7/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Storyline: 2/10
Lasting Appeal: 6/10
Overall, this is a cool game, but there needs to be more to do after you beat the 32 cities. I give it 4/5.

Three things that would make this game amazing...
1. Let us sell multiple items faster, and make the inventory show more items, etc.
2. The item mods are unbalanced, I would rather have armor that adds 10% life or 10% damage rather than 1000 damage but -90% Life/Defense....doesn't make sense.
3. Difficulty, its hard but after you get some points into patriotism and get a few of the stronger units of your "nation", it becomes way too simple. Also, for the next one, try to implement a way for the charges and scrolls to actually be useful later in the game as well (not just the first few fights when you hit for like 30).
4/5 so far, cool concept though. Would be cool if other nations attacked you and conquered ones gave you tribute or something.

Great game, but needs better campaigns. Once you get established (about 5-8 cities captured) you are unstoppable, but then you have to go through all the rest of the cities.
Also, making it easier to sell inventory would be nice, maybe a button to sell everything that doesn't have special abilities. About halfway through (200,000+ gold) I just stopped selling items and had 40's and 50's of some of them.
