The Horses from Grouzeno is alot better then Black Samurai, they might be doing alittle less dmg but they have alot more HP, making them the best choice.

Great Heroes ARE better than Black Samurai. The great hero's attack speed is much higher, the damage is even, Great Heroes are faster, The defense is just about even, The great hero's dodge is lower, and so is the crit rate, but the Great Hero's health is 5x as high. Great Heroes are also less expensive. Ninja's aren't that cool, noobs, srsly.

omfg i have mace , body and rohnin shuriken of divine light!!! all gives 200% to hp!!! and i have 44k hp !! no cheats!! and def is allmost 700 no cheats wooot.. divine ftw everything anyways got all badges..

to get medium badge--use the "mysterious" scroll on any armour, get in a fight, and attack and stay alive. the mysterious gives your 0 def, 0 dodge, 2/10 of your max health but you hit a 0-1000

you don't need to do 500 damage with your character, i did the second badge with the black samurai hitting more than 500, when i finished the game the max hero damage was 176, the best way to do the badges is to start with Sieg, put 50 int, maximixe patriotism and art of war(the rest you put into dex until 120 and maximixe far east weapons to your hero) , go to echigo with 60k, buy 10 black samurais, adjust your first line with 5 black samurai and the second line with 2 black samurais and 3 ghost bowman, and put a lot of bowman and the 2 black samurais in reserve troops. Then when a fight starts you just sit and relax.

If you are forced to fight a city because they are red and you don't feel like fighting and just want to buy stuff, when it says there gonna attack you click a building and it will go away. [+] so people know this trick.

A head's up to all those using urglburblsnu's idea of instant capture. It has one major problem. You won't be able to save your game after clicking forward, and achievements wont count.

INSTANT CAPTURE A CITY!!!! 1. go to the city 2. Click capture
3. Die 4.when on the dead screen right click and press forward 5. If you are fighting a larger city with two battle stages repeat step 4. 6. You captured the city and have infinite gold and experience :)

To get the 500 damage dealt badge, I used the Mysterious Apprentice Staff of Death. For the other badges I used a mix between a sword and a crossbow.

@GColleoni: I just COULDNT hit 500! i dunno why, but i got the black sword from echigo, the best in the game, and couldnt do it!

The 'dodge chance' is near invulnerability if it is over 100% chance. To get it that high, have max dexterity and any shield. Only crossbows have a chance to hit you.

weeelll... i made it.. i've got 500.000 gold and my hero got exactly 116.640 hp and a defense of 2700 .. i started with the eastern kingdom-whatever.. and had black samurai's.. (all 600hp after skilled patriotism and intelligence + art of war) with every hit they did around 700dmg with a speed of 3,43.. so.. YAAAAAAY :'D

now all my 60 full healing potions vanished... during battle! luckily, I could make it through with the one they left me... many many bugs on this game

It doesn't tell you what weapons can't be used from horse back, I'm using an axe and it just won't let me hit anyone, so I'm in a battle with no backup (trying to get the medium achievement) and I can't kill anyone... sweet oversight.
