This game seems to be very glitched, I lost a battle when I tried to take over a town, and when I restarted the game, I then owned that town, in addition to the one i started with

500 is easy to deal, i did it at lvl 5 or 6, get crazy items that add shitloads of damage. i used some knife that added 100 - 300 and based all my armor around dealing more crit and higher dmg

the good strategy is to let the soldiers kill the first line.When your soliders kill the first line you run on the second line (Spearmens) . If the enemy have a Crossbow quickly as you can kill the second line becose Crossbows give a lot of damage

All who play this: if you want to go into a town to buy weapons but they are you enimy, go into the city but instead of battleing just click on one of the buildings. Trust me, it works!

go to strong citys and try to capture them you die then when youquit and do new game you have normal and that city that you tried to capture

aronzei, there is an hp bar -_- . Click and hold to make a box in the battle then drag the box over your units. now let go, BAM instant hp bar.

I HAVE ALL 32 CITIES! It doesn't recognize. I have refreshed, saved, done missions, went to all, and more. FIX THIS please. Nice game 5/5

yup it is buggy as hell. lots of it.
how about a hp bar for your troops. helps a lot if you can time your healing. but that would be much if you have the best army and max patriotism and int. you can also finish a game using a hero only. if you can take down your nation on your own, you can take down any. the only thing that poses threat is a larger army of the strongest units around. but with the potions... nah. an easy game once you get strong enough. lots of bugs (like cheaper full potions and instant captured city w/o war). lots to be fixed but has great potential. this would be a great 3D rpg someday (reminded me of a similar game from xbox).

great game. bit annoying in terms of the battle, the numbers make no sense - you can't tell if you did the damage or someone else. maybe colour codes next time?

As long as you can survive battles, it's better not to fight yourself. Also, intelligence, patriotism and art of war are pretty much the only important stats.

Fun game but could probably use some tweaking for the elite units - they are just too good. Taken over 1/2 the map and have lost one Black Samurai. Either limit numbers available or toen down their power level.

i love that kind of game..
BUT: it's buggy as hell. the count for my potions and scrolls went crazy from time to time.
and it gets to easy and repetitive (?) after the first third.
and my soldiers, who ought to be 'intelligent' enough to fight on their own, mostly behaved like utter morons.
but in the end i gave it a 4/5 hoping to see more of that genre in the future...

a bit easy, and you can use the towns that dont like you's services. when it says "the enemy has come to our gates" you can click the buildings in the background.

I agree with mkickon. The game becomes skewed once you acquire powerful units (I worked with Crusaders... never lost one after buying 10).
Some fixes are in order: massively increase the price of scrolls. Army should be expendable, not heroic, allowing the hero to hide behind. Also, cap the power of an army in battle. Perhaps only 1 of each "type" of heroic unit--thus, you can only have 1 crusader, one black samurai, etc. this would require more strategery.

i didn't use the samurais...i used the golden riders. throughout my entire global domination, about 3 died. way better than the samurai.

At first, it gives a simple challenge, but not much. Once you hit level ten smalls towns fall in seconds. Once you conquer one of these small towns, echigo, and get the black samurai unit, its over. go to big city. click. make popcorn. come back. click. get drink. click you win... boring as time goes on.

I think the nasty game ever played, not well controllable, not clear, boring, etc.
