Solid game with a few problems. 1) Attacking different ship parts has no tactical use if we can't see how much health those parts have. 2) The game is unclear as to which products to sell where and why you would bother. 3) There's a number indicating how powerful enemy ships are, but not the pirate bases. I was mowing through enemy ships, decided to check out the next pirate base and got insta-killed. 4) You say the weaker ships attack first, but the game seems to habe a poor definition of the word "weaker" because I've been instakilled by pirate groups with significantly higher health and firepower.

Well, after all it was quite cool to board the Dutchman in "previous" version of this game. Maxing up all stats to achieve highest possible firepower is just to predictable ending :( It's like wining the good way or the hard way.

Was a geat game until final battle. Fully upgraded ship of the lines. Used 300+k worth of dynamite shots And still can't get him below 10k. Stupid

I think I just effed myself squarely in the butt. I lost my first battle, but instead repairing I upgraded the hull (thinking that was repair since I'm an idiot). Now, every time I sail to Cancun, it's an auto-fail and I'm out one GP. THEN, just to see if I could, I sold my ship. Turns out you can. Now I'm about 20 GP shy of rebuying the skiff. So, I can't do a bloody thing.

I see two main flaws in this game:
1) WE should be the pirates.
2) The sail of the ship at the intro before you click "play" has no shadow.

wtf? after 1st battle i have 1200$ so i buy a second ship and next thing i encounter a ghost ship with 30k hp and i dont have any gold left to repair. thats pretty much Game Over after 2 mins of play. or did i miss something here?

The game is great fun, but grinding war points gets ridiculous. It took me 15 minutes to get 10k for the final upgrade, and it'll require another 10k to max out my ships to make the Dutchman beatable.

Good game, some nice ideas. Turned out just a little bit too grindy or else I'd have given it 5 stars. But a very solid 4 star game.

Okay, I think I've figured out how the different attacks work. Attacking the hull directly affects HP, but not much else. Shooting at the crew makes boarding easier as well as doing other miscellaneous damage, and sails affect AP. Quick shot just does a random mix of the three. I hope this helps anyone that was as confused as me when I started. Also, pirates had certain numbers, but I couldn't actually tell if they were weaker until I attacked them. How is the number determined? And it would be nice if the docks were unlocked sequentially. I never knew which dock had hard ships and which had easy until I attacked them. Other than that, it's a great game. 5/5

Am I missing something? I just got released the second town, had two ships got attacked and owned and now I don't have enough gold to get repairs, every battle I get into I lose without it even starting.

overall was a really fun game for couple of hours...finished with no losses :) took some time to find out what stars are for :)

Should have wanted posters where you take down certain pirates and be rewarded. Just an alternative to transporting cargoes.

the end was disappointing, I was expecting maybe an animation to show the Dutchman sinking or something to that extent
but no, no I'm "happy" that I got a well done screen

A better end would be nice! Really fun game, quick, and with good grafics. But the end is too simply... even a short ingame animation should do.

I found that there were easy ways to just advance way too quickly.
Trading brought in very fast gold, and then purposely losing fights against the biggest cities would give you huge amounts of war points, while giving very little negative effect to you.

Well, I don't know if this is in the game or a bug, but when I went to Montago (or what), and I encountered the pirates, they started. They attacked 1 of my ships which remained with 10 AP. Now, the game won't switch to my other ships, for 10 AP, I can't do anything, and I always have to give my turn to the enemy. Is this supposed to be part of the game?

The percentage for boarding on the ship in the middle is hard to see some times. Great game by the way. Keep on the good work...

Not exactly a 'game changer' but is a little annoying: When in battle and one of my ships is destroyed. My turn will start with the destroyed one selected, so I have to manually select a ship that can actually shoot. Just a little glitch I found, otherwise FANTASTIC GAME 5/5 :D !

If you are having trouble with the boss, use the dynamite bomb option. Beat him in one try. Lost two ships and ended with about 300 defense left.

@Darsins Try to click another boat
@Manly 94 Just get 3 ships of the line fully upgraded and use Dinamite Cannonballs, killed him easily.
It's to easy to rate negative to a comment instead of help.
