i belive the trade sydtem would be better listing the price of the item at that port/town or whatever you call it. this is similar in Caravaneer.

Haggard - it knocks down the "action points" faster. Get the other ship below 15 and they can't return fire. (Their shots cost the same as yours). Andaho: Earn a lot of cash (at least $200K). Then use nothing but quick-shot dynamite on him (each shot costs $5000).

What does aiming at the sails do in combat? It doesn't seem to do any more damage and the ships are not sailing around anyways.

I'm fully upgraded, unlocked everything, have billions of gold, but cannot kill the final boss: The Flying Dutchman has 30k HP... The lowest I can get him to is 10k HP before he wins... How is it possible to kill him please?

Actually, there's still a problem with the trading system. I'm not sure if it's a bug or what, but if I'm in, say, San Pedro, and I want to know if it's a good idea to sell rice to Pinar, it won't tell me. All ports should have an indicator for the value of all unlocked goods, imo.

There are situations where the weak fleet can cripple my fleet during the first round of combat...right now I have to run trade with 3 dead ships to try and get repair money.

Best trade strategy: buy max rice at good price, sell in another town, battle a pirate, go back to town you sold the rice to, and it will be at an extremely low price. I do this in between 2 towns for good money.

Fun game! After you conquer the last town, the Ghost Ship will appear sailing on the ocean map. For the final battle, use three Ships Of The Line, each with fully upgraded Hull and Damage. Use your achievement stars to maximize the ship statistics for battle, i.e. Damage 100%, Action Points 100%, Accuracy 100%, Hull 100%, Cargo 0%. Start the battle with sufficient money to use Dynamite ($5000 for 3X damage) on every shot. Make full use of each ship's AP, using a mixture of Aim Hull (20 AP) and Quick (15 AP) shots. You may lose one of your ships, but you will defeat the Ghost Ship and win the game.

I've freed every city, fully upgraded my ship. I've got millions and I'm just killing pirates for fun now. I see no flying Dutchman. Is this a glitch?

Hi. Fun game so far :) What's the meaning of the number above the pirates ships on the map ?
Regarding the initiative system (who attacks first) I think it should be related to the number of people you have on board and maybe a speed characteristic for the ships.

Rate up for new players - firstly - it took a while for meto realise that you can scroll the various ships on the menu - click and hold to scroll the menu down ! - secondly - the game does not advise you that you can increse your achievements on the achievments menu !! - again it took a wile for me to see and realise this ! - you will not be able to sink the ghost ship without upgrading your achievement. ! - pls rate this up !!

So if I have far superior ships and actively attack pirates, I still have to take 6 rounds of shots to one of my ships before I can attack? That's retarded.

who attack first seem to be based of level, and level by ships, lower levels attack first, say if u have beginner ships that's level 3, so if u get the next ship after that it counts a two levels. so 2 first tier ships + 2nd tier ship = level 4

After almost completing the game I was feeling pretty good... until I destroyed a fleet of pirates and found a wedding ring. I've just killed a married pirate, who has a pirate wife and probably little pirate kids. I can't handle the guilt anymore and have now resorted to bootlegging rum in an attempt to distract me from my heinous actions. If you're reading this don't follow the same path as I did.

Hmmmmm...unless I am mistaken, how much loot is being sold at is a value randomly selected upon visiting the town (certain towns have different 'ranges'). Don't see a price you like? Visit another town, if still not good, go back. I've sold the same town their own product for nearly 2x profit....

id like to start the game without haveing a premade fleet then loseing it its like giveing me cheat codes before iv even tryed to have fun with it takes all the fun out for me i only wanna sandbox if thats all its ever gonnabe

Mid to late game gets a little repetitive. Suggestion: since the bigger ship goes last maybe don't upgrade too far, go first and slaughter everyone with dynamite and then upgrade to Line all at once?

good game but a tad annoying when starting a new journey if you dont have much money and get randomly attacked, and sometimes you dont have enough to repair ships or buy resources
