@hippyreaver click on a different (ally) ship next time for some reason if your selected ship doesnt have action points then you cant attack unless you click a different one (or you just dont have a ship selected)

Is anyone else finding that he option to attack in battle just seizes up and their is no choice but to retreat, despite having max action points?

The trade system was quite confusing, but I figured it out. A red down arrow is actually BETTER than a green up arrow. It means you get a profit. Go figure.

To get some extra stars at the beginning, just continuously sell and buy the Nef!
Anyway, very good game, love the further upgrade accomplishing achievements, maybe the ship tree should have a little more... Well, ships, but it's not that important.
Good job!

The game is very good and entertaining, but the ending is just....to small for all that. Just fire dinamite rounds to the ghost ship and in one round its over. And just one line of ending credits...well, thats just unsatisfying.

Beat the ghost ship without firing a shot. Boarding success = 100%. Don't think I should have been able to do that.... Pretty fun though.

I was playing for a long time and couldn't get past a spot....thanks Gprime for mentioning "pulling down" ship screen for BIG ships to buy. There is no why of seeing that.

So nice game and the trading is just so much fun. At the end can you know exactly how much each item is worth before even looking!

Pretty good game, two things; it'd be nice to be able to change quality, though not too important (and maybe I'm missing it?) and I didn't realise the achievements let me upgrade my boats until late in the game - more explicitly showing that would be nice.

the game needs better tutorial to tell you what happens when all your crew/board/sails are destroyed also needs an 'health' bar for each during combat (possibly being able to repair these seperately in towns meaning hire sailors repair ship mend sails ect.) needs a skill tree possibly or just more diverse ships (ships speced for damage board crew ect) also the right side of the ship tree is almost always weaker costs less money but costs MORE war points? that doesnt make sense to me

The ship tree is buggy, the developer can't spell 'losing' and the ending is lackluster. Gameplay is ok. 3/5 stars. Fix the above items and it'd be 4/5.

I liked it, 4/5! Here are a few hints why it wasn´t a 5/5: 1) too short, too easy. 2) maybe you´ll find a way that trade still makes sense later on in the game. I came to the point, where I had zillions but too few war points. 3) Speaking of it: The game needs an "auto battle" option for farming war points. I don´t need to watch when my three lineships attack some fisherboats. 4) Also, the "story" is pretty thin, a few more storytelling elements (at least a final video) would greatly improve the game experience. 5) You also need to fine adjust the difficulty - after you get the basics, you can´t lose anymore. Maybe think about including a difficulty-menu (rookie, pirate, dutchman-hunter) in the sequel?

The "Line" ship just makes the final boss a joke. I shoot first, aim for deck, load the red shells, and kill him in one turn.

boarding is where your pirates basically ransack the enemy ship incapacitating them and therefore neutralizing them as a threat.

The Bark is almost inferior in every way to the Pinass (lol name btw), and the damage boost is not worth losing the other stats. You should really consider beefing it up a bit...

BY THE WAY! i forgot to mention - fantastic game. this'll keep me entertained until such a pirate game is released ;D

OK, I feel dumb. I just finally realized I can DRAG-SCROLL the ship choices to get more powerful ships than the level 2 ship. Now the game is entirely different. I think there should be an explanation of that someplace so nobody else has the same frustration I did of trying to conquer the whole map using tiny ships, waiting for better ones to appear.

The final boss was.... Not hard.... I wasn't even close to maxed out either, nor was I using the best hips by any means. Shot it with one round of Dynamites. It didn't even get a turn.

Why does, in 95% of the cases, the enemy start firing first? Especially if I am the far stronger one, shouldn't I get first strike here???

some tooltips or help button would be great, i don't know if i'm missing it or not but i'd like to know what each little stat does for improving ships, and what boarding actually does for me
