Ironic. Maxing out your ship, aside from fighting the dutchman, is a negative. Use the ship under the best and youll be able to start first against 20+ & thus take them out the first turn ~ taking no dmg.

Ok, for those who don't know, Sail affects AP and shooting the crews lower the AP less than shooting the sail but it lowers the ship's damage per shot, and hull just damages the ship's hp very easily, and quick shot is a weak shot that doesn't affect AP that much but costs less AP and boarding just completely destroys the ship's crew, if he runs out of crews then the ship is useless.

hey, if you make a sequal. we need to get the duchy, better yet make an update for this. the "Dutchman's fleet mode" were we get Dutchman's and the fleets of the enemy are way more powerful. like a carryover mode.

Such a satifying finish, it came down to my last ship having only 15 health left when i delivered the final shot.

Love the game i just wish there were a different way to determine who goes first. It really slows things down having to go to port to repair ships after every battle.

I really dislike the amount of money it taks to repair the ships. Didn't decide to ply long hen I was done o 400 gld ad it needed over 1200 to repair

I love pirate, and ship themed games. So 4 stars just for the enjoyment of the type of game it was (simple, straightforward, and fun). Could have been 5 stars but it lacked that drive to keep playing, keep playing, and keep playing. Similar in many ways to old school games like trade wars, and Sid Meier's Pirates!, which is a good thing. Maybe different crew to effect ship performance (gunner, cook, navigator; accuracy/damage, range, sails). Good little game, fun story, and an enjoyable cruise through the Caribbean

Great game, but still has a few flaws. Even though the instructions clearly indicate that the weaker fleet goes first, I always go second, whether I a fighting a stronger or weaker fleet.

Sails control action points, crew control damage, hull controls sheild. Take out the sails and they cant fire, take out the crew and they CAN fire, but won't damage, and take out the hull and they goes BOOOM

For those of you wondering:
SAILS affect your AP. If you have better sails, you can use more shots per turn. If they get too badly damaged, you can use less. If you have lower than 15AP that ship can't shoot at all and is disabled.
Shots or improvements directed at the HULL will directly affect your hp, and shots or improvements directed at the crew affect attack (I think? Not sure about this one).
If an ship has lost either all its hp or lost enough ap it can't shoot, then it is disabled and can no longer fight or win the battle. Generally you should target ap or hp in enemies to disable them completely by one method or the other as soon as you can.

Is there even a point to the cargo? I never had more than 5-7 things in my cargo at once, so why would any ever waste their time and WIP on cargo upgrades? Feels very pointless.

you need the war ships(right progression) against the flying dutchman and use dynamite. finish it with one ship standing and unhurt. money is easy. the problem is killing ships for the WIP

Finished the game on day 700 lol, didnt notice the upgrade system. But took 3 damage type ships, upgraded them fully, and used the most expensive ammo on full mode. At boss fight lost only 1 ship. You just need to farm 300-400k gold before the fight so you wont run out on 5000 gold ammo. and then full attack (20) mode only.

1)how is it possible to finish the game in any less than about 100 days. 3 days to completion is impossible!
2)great game, would love a follow up.
3)It would be nice to be able to have more ships. how about being able to claim boarded ships for yourself?
