LOL I killed the boss in one try because I had all my ships the best and I had so much money I used dynamite the whole time and only one ship died maybe because it took me 507 day to do it lol.

savefile679: in battle you can choose: quick fire, aim hull, aim sail or AIM CREW. You win the battle by destroying all crew, the sail or hull. Less crew = easy defeat if enemy ship targets your crew

That was annoying. The final boss is luck-based. I had to try about 7 times with no change in strategy before I finally won.

I think its really messed up how you sacrifice your own sister to take revenge on the flying dutchman for taking your ships... like really? towards the end of the game you get your ships back anyway xD

Such a grind for War Points. And if first attacker is decided on which fleet is weaker, then why I am going second after a fleet with 100+ more hull than my ships and then going first against fleets a third my strength?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not really, when I take the crew out of an enemy until they don't have anybody left, they have 0 action points even tho their sails are fully upgraded. If I am wrong here please correct me.

Ok Sails deal with AP (Action Points)
Crew has to do with boarding other ships. More crew=better chance of successfully boarding the enemy and taking their cargo
I recommend trading a lot at the beginning, this allows you to get a large amount of gold stored to fix your ships after battle. After you save up several thousand gold pieces, you should start slow and take out single ships (the "power" of each fleet is represented by a small number in the top right corner) slowly build up your force as you see fit. Upgrades can be very helpful but on certain ships you should just save up for the next model. I beat the Dutchman with 3 Ships-of-The Line fully upgraded and in my opinion it was easier then some pirate battles. I give the game a solid 5/5. It has good semi in-depth customization of your fleet only lacking a custom flag/color editor, that is minor tho. For the battles it has great tactical detail, Ex. Aim at Crew, which then increases your chance of successfully boarding.

ermergurd, its so hard to get back into the game after you ruin yourself (lose all your ships), but it's sooo additcting, only problem is lack of explanation/intruction 5/5

This is one of the only games where I REALLY feel like I'm in control, I'm actually the character, and I'm becoming more powerful than you could ever possibly imagine :D

Here is what everything does in battle: Attack hull does more Damage.Attack sail Gets rid of AP.Attack crew makes boarding more possible to win

Sorry for the double-post, but: I beat it. I just didn't remember it being this difficult when I played the game before, but maybe my memory was in error...Ah well, it's done, anyway.

Wait, how does the ghost ship have 30,000HP? It's supposed to have 3,000, isn't it? I've went to all the towns, and it's under one year.

when I destroy an enemy ship game blocks and a loop starts (repeats the animation of hitten ship and noise of shot)

I really like the tactics in this game, so it would be cool if the tactical decisions matter in the final fight. It takes the top of the epicness of the final show down when it is just about lombing dynamite into the hull.
