Aim hull - increased damage to target health
Aim sail - larger decrease in targets AP
Aim Crew - increases chances of successful boarding
Boarding - Chance to incapacitate target
I like how the player is able to take advantage of these selective attacks to form an element of strategy in the combat system

i don't know about you guys but when there is one more ship for me to kill i fire everything and laugh as i imagine what the crew on that poor ship is thinking

well it was fun, but after two days of playing my progress is lost. fun game, but would be nice if it there was a reliable save feature.

Final Battle: Used top Ship for all 3 in my fleet, used Dynamite on all shots and STILL lost while the other ship had over 9,000 life left... Smh.

And how about having an option that appears under certain circumstances(?):If you kill all the crew members of a pirate ship, you would be able to take it as yours

What would be interesting to see in this game: If you take a pirate ship's sails, and there's survivors on the ship, you could choose to either kill them, let them free or take them as part of your crew

@jimbeau FFS where were you!! i didn't click on that star all game had no chance on the Dutchman on day 900 and still nothing and then you come along and say "hit the star in the let corner" and presto! I win!! thanks man! Cant believe i missed that!

For those of you who are having problems with the Dutchmen. What helped me defeat him was to go up the right branch and then fully upgrade also getting the stars I upgraded everything with exception on 1 cargo. I clicked on him then used Dynamite and hit his hull. I beat it keeping all 3 ships.

too easy to absent mindedly click on the wrong button and WHAM! Your whole game is gone. No save that I see, and no warning. Please fix.

For those having trouble with dutchman: Get the right upgrade-path's best ship, upgrade hulls 1 or 2 times, max the damage upgrade. Use aim hull and dynamite. By this point you should have max accuracy and damage from the achievements, and it should be easy. If you need WP to upgrade the ship, do some trading, fight the dutchman and lose on purpose, you'll get around 4-6k WP.

Is it even possible to beat the ghost ship without cheating? I have the 3 top ships, i'm using dynamite, and using aim hull. Yet still only manage to barely get the ghost ship down to 50% health. Boooo

Sail shot = Less AP if a ship is under 15 AP he can t attack and is like dead
Crew shot = Less Crew, and better chance for a boardage
Hull shot = Less life for the ship

This games a bloody cheat, whenever i'm low on health, a pirate crew, roughly 90% will randomly attack my fleet as i'm trying to get to safety. But when my fleet is healthy, no random attacks.

Would be great if it had a save feature. I had the biggest ships and all the upgrades. I went to do something else and came back to the game later. Now I'm back to square one.

Was fun. Found it much easier to gain gold than wp until near the end, but at that point I had more gold than I knew what to do with. 1 thing about trading is I think it should be based more on what the town is supposed to make and want, rather than whats been bought and sold there recently.
Insanely good/quick way to make gold, choose the 3 highest priced goods you can buy, pick 2 towns close together and rotate the 3 goods between the 2 towns. For example, buy all rum you can, go to 2nd town, sell it all, buy all coffee, go back to first town, sell all coffee and buy all ore, go to 2nd town, sell all coffee and now rum will be insanely cheap since you flooded town's market with it so buy rum, go back to 1st town, now rum is super expensive since you bought out so much, sell rum and buy coffee, etc

I've played lots of games like this, but this is by far my favorite. The others just had way too many things you had to do, on this you have the choice of maybe doing trading and stuff but its not required.

i dont know why but each time the enemy attacks, once. my ships cant attack after wards even though they only lost about 20% and the enamy has only 1% of health but can still attack!?

No real challenge. The idea still good but the gameplay could be improve.

Funny little game. Advice - you don't need warships to finish game. Best merchant ships fully upgraded and shooting with dynamite are more than enough to destroy last boss. Also trading makes you money really fast. But I didn't saw any pattern, towns seem to have random prices influenced only by what you sell/buy from them, not by what they should be producing.
