Dude I don't know how you couldn't beat Duchy with full on SotLs upgraded out. He killed one of my ships and the other two were untouched. Used Dynamite Shot with Hull Shot and it dropped him quick.

You should at least be able to repair your ships partially with the money you have if you don't have funds to repair them 100%

Despite having the Ship of the Line filled fleet, with max damage and hull. I still can't beat duchy, even with dynamite and what I can tell, the best shot (hull shot) what should I do?

Jokegame. At the end if you get damage so much you cant repair your ships, you need to start trading. Trying to earn 90000 gold to repair your ships when you only have 2000 left to trade with, will take about 14 hours. Terrible game.

oh and a hint on defeating dutchy, next to where you select your shot aim, to the left is shot type. Dynamite you might even say :P

Awesome game. Reasonably realistic in ship power. would love to see the world expand beyond the Caribbean though, there is a lot of potential for a game like this, hope the developer has plans. This is right up my ally.

For those who are wondering,
Crew affects both AP and the chance of successfully boarding a ship;
So More crews = more chance to "immobilize" that targeted ship.
(Also, that is part of the achievement ^^ )
Which is great for those ships with "massive" hull but a descent crew.
Anyways, it will be great if there is some "pop up" information on the things like "Hull", "Crew", "Cargo", etc.
Like when I put my mouse on it, a short description on what it does will be shown and I guess it will be a great help for new players.
Or if what I said above is not possible, then a short tutorial menu will be also just fine.
Oh. Great game anyways. Aarrrrr!! Keep up the great work matey!!!

Seems to me targeteting works like this: Sail: mostly AP doenst do much actual damage. Crew: even AP and Health. Hull: Does most health damage but hardly affects AP. Qiuckshot: Random Health and AP damage

If I have no more AP to use, why do I get asked if I want to end my turn? Shouldn't it just end the turn automatically?

Ghost ship fight is 100% luck. Make sure you stock up on money to use your strongest attack...even if you have the strongest ships.

I think there is a big. When one of my ships gets destroyed (the lowest one in this case). It seems the turn does not pass on to my other ship, so the only way is to retreat or get slaughtered by the enemy since i can't perform any actions

Pretty easy after a while. Like the concept on it and i give it a 4/5. Tip to those who are stuck. Do tons of trading and get a lot of money, at this point battle ships with higher ranks so you go first and nail them with powder or dynamite to cause a prefect fight for easy WP

Found an exploit: if you choose an upgrade further up the upgrade tree without having paid for the preceding upgrade, you'll get both upgrades, but only pay for one.

A good game, certainly kept me entertained for a while. I do agree with NomNomNomeh, in that the level of each port should be on the map. Twice I had to run after underestimating the enemy. Also, I do agree with savefile679. Hull is easy enough to figure out, but what about sails and crew? From my experience, Aim Crew largely reduced enemy AP with minimal damage on hull, whereas Aim Sail did slightly less damage to AP and a bit more to hull (I fired against 2 identical enemy ships, one I shot at with Aim Crew, the other with Aim Sail, that was the result). Also, please make the close button on the left for the ship buy menu always visible. Many times I accidentally hit the sell ship button after just buying or unlocking a ship because I keep forgetting to hit close on the right hand side first, then hit the only button on the left. I'm like that, IDK why. 4.5/5 from me I will round to 5 for rating, keep up the good work.

Targeting the crew makes it easier to board the ship, targeting the sails significant reduces the ship's AP, and targeting the hull adds extra damage.

Hey, for all those who complain about how hard it is to get money or how long it takes, this is a perfect strategy. First, only advance the left side of the tree until the end of the game. They hold more cargo early on and do not require many battle-gained war points. Second, never invest in rice. It barely gives a profit compared to others. Third, advance far enough that there are higher priced goods. Finally, have two islands. Island A has two goods for a low price and one for a high price. Island B has the reverse of those EXACT items. Continuously trade with the fluctuation of prices from buying and selling.
