Just played the bonus levels on ArmorGames ... OMG, what ever you do, DO NOT add those stupid missiles to steambirds2 ... I can't pass bonus mission 2 on AG, because those missiles are really pathetic. Here on Kong I got all 60 stars.

Like the game concept. Stylistically its different, seeing as i havent seen too many like it. I look forward to future versions

I think there's a memory leak. If it starts lagging up too badly, refresh the page. I'd try to finish the mission first though.

WOW, great game! I played 1948 for 1 hour and finally got 4 stars (perfect) =D. Behemoth pwned, twice. Waiting for sequence and, if possibly, a level editor too!!

Dude Best game ever!
But put difficulties on it, like easy, normal & hard cuz from 1945 until the final it's super hard

so, after achieving all badges, my critic still stands, but i'm not repeiting it a third time.
all of you yelling it's too hard: it's not. It has some gameplay weaknesses witch make it frustrating, but by doing one level a day (and this way keeping the frustration down) it's not harder than most games on kongregate-

mutliplayer wud be great. btw, guys how do you pass 1945 with a blimp.. i tired to seperate in 2 halfs to destroy defenders, then i sended all of them to beat each of enemies seperatedly..but everything failed..is that blimp is destroyable ???

LOL i had 3 small ships against this giant this, two died straight away and i turned and 180* turned like 18 times, each time doing more damage

its a big pain when the plane pointer goes out of the screen an you cannot control it to bring it right in.
I was playing 1948 had killed 2 planes without taking any damage, my plane was on the border, I selected the double move option and my pointer went out of the screen. Lost the level.
Apart from this pain its an awesome game.

this game is great! i read some reviews and to some it up we would appreciate multiplayer, game reviews, upgrades, unlockables, buying new planes, and hotkeys for the planes. This game is an awesome idea and you can even expand this game from here, i see a bright future for this game, only if you take the right steps!

i suppose i should repeat it... you dont loose planes off the edge of the map, use arrow keys to centre map on plane then you cna use them again.

This is the first time I've been compelled to comment on a game.
This is fun, but more because it seems like a taste of what might be rather than just being a good game.
Overall, it's fun. I was compelled to play through every mission until I had four stars. But by then you realize that all you're really doing is learning the AI and tweaking your moves to deal with them. This game would be so much better as multiplayer.
Additionally, the bonus levels on Armor Games seem like such a tease. The homing missiles are great, but why weren't there more missions featuring them?
This game reminds me of a couple of board games. Wings of War is the obvious, but the old Crimson Skies game from FASA (especially when you consider the homing rockets) is another.
Again, SO much potential here. I hope that we see a follow-up to this game soon.

What would make this game even more awesome is a replay after each level, to watch the fight play out in full speed instead of by turns. Being able to view and save our perfectly choreographed missions would, for me anyway, make the game that much more rewarding.

your planes should be assigned numbers for use as hotkeys (snap view to & select), would be a huge improvement to the ui.

Great game but I lose all my planes against the Behemoth in the 1945 mission. Challenging game but can still be overcome, 10 stars if I could.

Congratulations! You just won the Monocular Precision Badge and 30 points!
Monocular Precision (completed)
Monocular Precision (completed)
1948 completed with 100 health (no damage)
awesome game, if u want to get the badge above alll u do is use poison gas to kill 2 top planes (about 2 or 3 sprays) then swerve down a bit and use poison again to kill 3rd plane (2 or 3) be careful not to go off the map (u can tell cause screen doesn't move right anymore, u then make top plne go up, bottom one go down, circle around bag ship and send the one it doesn't chase a own it from behind!!

4 starred 1948 using only the poison gas. Whoops. It just happened to break 50 stars for me too, 60 points in one shot :D

4 starts on every single mission = national hero rank! WOOO HOOO! not to sound like a prissy jerk but if anyone wants to know how to 4-star a level just gimme a shout!

I would like to see a reset button on the battle screen so that if you want to start over you don't have to go to the menu, go back into the level, and setup your zoom the way you want all over again. How about a stats screen to keep number of kills, number of deaths, etc. Sometimes when you take damage you can't check your status by hovering the cursor over the plane anymore.

Great production values, good design, like the idea. It's a little annoying that so much of getting the "best" score seems to amount to using hit and run tactics, doing five runs to do the same amount of damage without taking any in return that you could with one run if you were willing to take near-fatal damage.
