The key to defeating large enemies (aka Bombinos) that can take down a plane in a short while is to get behind them. If you can, have the plane take a short line forward each turn, so it can't fire on you.

1945 Is done by fist concentrating on the big dude (lets call him Bob) You fly very slowly (put the little arrow line to near your ship. While Bob comes you automatically shoot it one its close. When your very close. Go 180 and fly out of there. Rince and repeat :) If your plane doesnt have the 180 degree spin use shield and turn 90 degrees. Etc

1945 was really easy for me. Keep your distance from the balloons and take them out then flank from behind the blimp, keeping your distance. Your guns have better range on the blimp (from behind at least, i never got it front of it)

One eefing hit and one has to do the mission again. I'm trying to get 4 stars in 1945 for the 6th time now... Argh!!!

what realy sucks is when you get to the edge of the map and while the plane is still within the arrow is out so you cant change the direction and the plane flies out.gets repetetive didnt finnish the game but it would be nice to get new types of planes etc

good game. occasionally cannot view plane information. sometimes you play around a bit and it comes back. sometimes it does not.

The entire place is a playable screen. Did some people somehow not do the tutorial? If a plane goes off screen, click and drag the map.

Best webgame i played in the last few months. addicting... Got 4 star on everything. I would like to see the game with diferent planes. The bonus levels are great. Thanks for teh game!

4* on everything except '46. Gotta work on that one some more. Very fun to experiment and I, for one, think it's great *WITHOUT* upgrades or different planes. Those would ruin the game, imo.

I love the music, especially the "boss battle" music. I opened a "boss" level just to listen to the music while playing other game.

You can get 4 stars on each by experimenting with how the planes turn in the beginning. Sometimes the difference is a long 90% or a short 90% turn. With dusters, the AI is bad, slow down a little and then start dusting with your planes in a horizontal line formation. All the slow planes, just come in behind them at 30 degree angles and slow down before peeling off the attack before you get within half a grid square. The balloons have a short range, so approach slow and turn around or peel off.

Sometimes you can't zoom out with the button.
Sometimes you cannot view the information about the plane by passing the mouse over it.
The game is nice, but it totally needs a reference of enemy planes' ability, because it's pretty frustrating to learn them by experience...

this is so weird i found this game on arcadeprehacks.com but really you should go there if you like hacked games but i like it more then this origanal 3/5

Agree with KaiserSuza. As 2 of the 3 fast will follow your gass plane, you need to bring both of your planes together flying straight forward. By the time you reach the end of the battlefield all three are dead without shooting once. THen go north with one plane, south with the other and see which is being followed by the big plane. Keep the one being followed at a safe distance, creep up behind with the other plane and gun the big one down flying slowly on his tail. 4 starts. Easy.

Battle field borders are a mayor problem. I can not move my plane back to the field because the control circle is off screen :-(

In 1948, put your planes in a same line -> plane with 180 turn at front so that your gas plane doesn't kill your 180 turn plane. no just go straight and spray gas whenever you can. If the 2 fighter planes come too close use your fast fly. After killing fighters go round and kill the flag ship.

@fearedjames: i just did level 1948 with 1 star. it's all about attracting the planes into your gas clouds. first of all the little planes by flying right. after killing them take care of the big one. i killed them all by gas, none of them by bullets. the bullets-only-plane of mine just helped attracting the enemys. good luck!

yay i finally did it, by luck, also i almost did it a battle earlier, but i acidently led my guy off the battle field, when 1 bullets would of killed the enemy

Fearedjames try leading them in curves spraying gass behind you, it takes a while and a few attempts but it does work. Just play around a bit

If i do the second part only, the same thing happens, except i may live a few turns less. If i do the same with either, but dont split up, 1 of the faster planes always seems to just dodge the poisen gas, he then either kills or hugley damages, which damages my engines stoping me from escaping, then after the poision gas dies, they switch to the other, which is proberly pretty beaten up already.
