A graphics and quality option would greatly improve this game. It is very lag heavy and at times I am unable to close direction windows, check on planes, or even control them at all at times.

I cant play this game. Tried playing 4-5 times but it is not going beyond training level. It shows victory but next level is not getting highlighted.

the destination pointer occasionally "slips" by itself, so instead of moving forward the minimum distance i fly straight into a spotter and take damage :( and considering how slow the gameplay is, this is VERY annoying. nice to have: plane gun-range display (even if it's only for my friggin' planes!), and possibly a mid-mission save button, so after i down half of the bastards perfectly i don't lose everything to a single misclick.

My saves aren't working, even with the F fix. It says they're working correctly, but, considering I've restarted 3 times now, I don't believe it. Fix that, and I'll be back to rate.

The clickable area around the Menu button is a little too generous for something that will end your efforts. Might want a "return to battle" button on the list of battles screen, if someone has hit the Menu button amidst a combat.

Might want to make sure the 'golden circles' can't go off the edge of the map. Might also want to mention that going off the map is both possible and deadly.

@oogly: tail behind it, and turn before you bump into it. your ships have a longer range then it does, its tiresome, but works.

:P Other problems: only one type of usable plane, lag increases the longer you play for, and sometimes when you lag while gassing, the gas spawns on your plane and hurts you. Fun game aside from these things, though. >>

It'd be an OK game *except for* the fact that you can't pick the equipment on your planes. I understand the reasoning behind the gas cloud (you need to complete one of the missions to "capture the bioweapon") but I don't see any reason we can't pick our own setup of boost/shield/180/360. Makes the game more frustrating than necessary.

i dont see where the trouble on 1949 should be. lurk the plane into gas clouds or kill it with your second plane, circle close to each ballon going back after one turn shooting.
1948 is easy too. speeded the one plane up, moved both behind e.o. and did all the killing with gas clouds besides bombino. this one then is really easy alone.

I really love the game, but I think it's highly unfortunate that using gas clouds seems to have about a 50% chance of damaging the plane that uses it....

The whole game's basically circling to flank, you should never attack planes head on. You have to attack the balloons/blimps head on, but that's a different story. Every mission can be beat with 4 stars, some take longer as you have more enemies to dodge at the same time.
for 1948, just have the bottom plane circle down and back, top plane circle up and back. The top plane gets chased by the fast and slow airplanes, bottom plane only by one airplane. Use boost every other turn and you'll be safe out of distance even though they make smaller turns to catch up. Once safely behind the Bombino, the bottom plane can take on the single guy (you have 180), then it can circle around and flank the two planes chasing the top guy, which in the meantime can use smoke. Then the Bombino's easy, just flank and take smallest allowed distances to keep distance and fire.

This game needs to have an option to replay the whole battle in a continuous animation at the end. Some of the maneuvers and crap you do in the game looks pretty badass, and I really want to see how it looks in real time.

also, about the balloons (both types) they have guns that reach all the way around, but they have shorter range than your plane does, (work it out from here)

keep the bottom comment alive plz, I got the badge using this stragey, although it may take a couple tries, if you get the first three planes down, then except for human error your good.

for the monocular precision badge you want to lead the two planes in a straight direction, gassing the back as you do so, when the planes get close to you, use turbo, make sure to prepare for the end of the map, you must not go off it, or your plane goes down. also make sure to use turbo when turning, or you'll get shot for sure, just make sure its not too hard of a turn either, or you may get shot, even with turbo, when the first three planes die, simply circle around the last big one, making sure to stay out of its range of fire (it has a 180 degree arc of fire facing foreward, the back is safe though) after your behind it, make sure you don't pass it, as its a slow plane, turn if nessassary, and it will be, but try to make as small movements as possible.

Wonderful game. Fills a void in my soul I had not realized was there. I'll add a zillionth comment about how learning the range/abilities of opponents through trial and error was not fun for me. This could be addressed in the mouse-over info with a simple graphic, or even just textual info "Gas-only, no guns" or "short range guns, 180 degree arc." I don't mind have to figure some of it out -- but without any graphic, it seems arbitrary when they are suddenly shooting me. Also agree that finding out the going-off-screen-mechanic is not fun either, especially when you can't grab your arrow to avoid it. Finally: the mouse-over info box for my own planes is often unavailable. These crits have not stopped me from loving this game, they just made it take a little longer.

The Behemoth is just like the Balloons, very powerful guns, but smaller range than your planes. Just use the 180deg turns and circles to fire and retreat outside of their range.

It would be really cool if there were a button to push that would reset the plane instructions. When I'm close to the walls and want to boost to escape, there's a chance that the button will go off screen.

Excellent game, a gem even by Armorgame's standards. The gameplay is simple, yet in-depth enough to allow a variety of playing methods, which is a boost for replayability (something rare for flash games).
Several things to be added to future versions/sequels: 1. Range finder (I hate not being able to tell when my plane will be in range of enemy guns, and losing 4 stars because of damage), 2. Customizable loadout/planes (I'm an artist with certain powers, horrible at others), and 3. Duel mode (I get x planes, they get y planes, see how things go).
One small problem I DID encounter was late-game lag. It wasn't debilitating, but the smoothness of every phase was really lost past 1940 or so.
