There is a multiplayer version of this game...sort of. It's called Fly or Die. Different creator, yet the same basic idea.

@ thecheaterdude:
Not a Mig-15 obviously :( those things could use 1-3 20 mm cannon rounds and take down a B-29...
regardless, the cherry tapping and surviving while staying behind them is the fun of the game

Really good game if only you guys would come out with a second with newer jets to create more of an experience everybody will love.

there is an edge to the map and once planes direction arrows disappear beyond it, the plane is gone for good... a little warning would have been nice

If a plane is too heavily armed to take on directly, whittle it down from the edge of your range. If a plane is too fast to outrun, use your maneuverability to avoid it while another plane flanks. It's actually pretty easy if you know the basic strategies.

difrent plane taktiks:for planes that soot in front atack from the back for the unarmed posion planes (dusters) atack from the front because thei are unarmed as for the baloons atack from the writhe or the left never from behind or up front becuse they have hevy rotatiolnal canons for drts finish tem quickli from behind as for the planes with big and diagonal wings atack from behind or from the egeas of the wings also atack the turtle planes from the left or the writhe.

i would like to see a solution to the fact that if you reach almost the end of the map...you can't stop your plane from going off map

Really cool game. A sequel with a multiplayer option would be great!
Multiplayer would compensate for the finite number of levels, and AI-personalities.

1948 wasn't particularly difficult, just a case of leading some planes with poison gas and getting behind the big one. Medium maybe, but not worthy of 30 pts.

You know, for a third one, it would be really cool if you could create things like mountains or buildings, or other obstacles that can be crashed into and have to be watched out for. That would be epic, being able to fight in a mountain range or something, and leading your enemy into a corner. It would also solve some of the weird things like suddenly burning when you reach the edge of the map. :P It would also make the game much more strategic. + if you agree.

@Xenon155, ur planning over the gas is right, but for the Flying wing, you could put however many planes with some distance from it, then slow ur speed for both and focus fire, works for the 1943 and the 1948 mission, just saying is all though.

Uh, Spieltz? That's the entire point of the game. Maybe pay a bit more attention? Storyline in game basically begins with guy discovers fusion power on a small scale in 1835, changes warfare entirely, which also changes history. Srsly, it's not that hard to understand.

steambird:survival has REALLY shown the skills of our ace pilots, i wonder how they will do working together, (looking forward to steam birds multiplayer!!!)

Great game.
Two annoying things though:
1) not being able to stop your guys going off the screen if you didn't catch it early enough (because the controls are offscreen). Not the most horrible thing, but I was unprepared for it and it cost me stars in a rough battle
2) you can't drag/navigate if you're mouse is on smoke exhaust. Again, not horrible but slightly annoying. Fix is really easy though, just set mouseEnabled and mouseChildren to false on the smoke object so the bottom layer can handle the mouse events.

Brilliant game, my only complaint is when selecting a path if the anchor of the path goes offscreen, there is no (to my knowledge) way to click on it, essentially killing your plane. Not a huge problem, generally but when using the boost towards the end of the map the anchor is automatically positioned, and sometimes off screen. Additionally when zoomed out it would be nice if the UI on the anchors didn't scale as well, it makes playing strategically a bit more troublesome having to squint to see the buttons. Best TBS game I've ever played.

This game drives me b**s**t crazy 'cause I can't wrap my mind around the maneuvers, but I know quality even when I totally suck at it. :) 5/5

a really amazing game couldn't stop playing it. only if we had another type of plane to help us in harder levels. 5/5!! :D

@Sdlonyer, he already has made a second one. :P Also, 1948 is not very hard. First of all, you just need to lead one plane in a straight line constantly letting out gas, and the other waving back and fourth in front of it to lead the three faster planes, including that turtle, into the gas. Continue this until the three planes are dead, and then there's the Flying Wing, which, if you played 1943, you know that one plane is to circle around as the decoy while the other gets behind the wing to shoot it down. For the flying wing, you should fly the shooting plane in low speeds behind it and the decoy plane should fly at higher speeds in a circle. Hope this helps.

You Should Be Able To Buy New Planes, Add Upgrades To Your Current Planes, And When Weasello makes a second one HE HAS TO PUT THESE IN! + IF YOU AGREE
