@NotOurKing: I actually just did 1939 and got 4 stars; 1.Left it alone.2.Top plane turns up w/shield, bottom plane turns down w/shield.3.Make your planes go after the others chaser and thats pretty mush it.

Liked it at first...but when the enemies starting coming who can shoot on a 360 degree angle....I gave up. How do you kill them?

I had played a game like that but it was in space, i loved that game and i loved this one. On a next version, put up a squad formation editor with points to spend, good fighters, ok fighters, sentries, defend objective, destroy objective, escort, hunt... ;)

@pieta: 1938 is easy. Spend your first turn doing a really tight turn. Spend second turn shields up and flying straight into the enemy; be sure to pass the enemy. From then on: engage, tail, and destroy.

love the style, just the right amount of strategy :) Only problem is that the larger enemy planes don't give any indication of which directions they can shoot in - i go in for what looks like a perfect side / back attack and get torn to pieces.

That's an awesome game. I really enjoyed playing it. It was challenging, but not too hard. It is designed very well. The concept of this game HAS to be continued. You make a second part. k? k.
You could make an upgrade system, with special visors to predict enemies range. Special missions like attacing ground stuff (Tanks, buildings etc.) Convoy-missions and more.
I'm waiting for a second part. And a third one. 5/5

This is the first game I've ever favorited. What a fun game! I'm not great at flying games so I dig the turn-based play.

Grr... I beat 1948 with 4 stars before, but I don't get the badge because instead of checking how many stars you've earned on it, it checks how much health you have left when you finish it D=

FIX THE GODDAM SOUND. The music is loud and SHIT but if you turn it off no cool aeroplane sounds. Would love to hear dakka dakka dakka and the drone of engines. Also there's no elevation factor and no sun or clouds all VITAL for air combat. Hide in the sun and come in from th eblind spot = WIN!

Rarely got more annoyed by a game. First of all the zoom, when your zoomed out enough to get some overview, controlling the planes becomes a pain. Secondlythe fact that you need to control every single plane with extreme precision, without a warning system when you're about to go to the next turn without adjusting a plane.

I hate this, got to 1939 and am trying to get 4 stars. After several tries finally almost got it, then a plane I thought was dead hit me once. After several more tries got it again, untill one of my planes flew off the map, that was the first time I realised there even was an edge!
