Description

After a routine mining mission, Dig jumps into his hypersleep chamber and initiates the launch sequence to head home; During the trip home his ship encounters an asteroid field and while attempting a safe course of passage enevitably takes damage; The ship's computer - unbeknown to the damage - continues the journey while precious fuel begins leaking into space.

The ship's computer finally realises the fuel reserves won't be enough to make it home and begins a search for local planets that may harbour plentiful reserves of fuel. It finds only one and sets a course.

During the descent onto the planet; Dig is awoken - expecting to be approaching his home world when the Ship's computer explains their situation.

There's just one issue... the fuel on the planet is nearly 4km below the surface and the ship doesn't have enough fuel to fire the mining lasers. All of the mining will have to be done by Dig himself!

How to Play

Left and right to Move, A to jump, S to use selected tool, X to use selected item.

Game is designed to be slow at the beginning to give you a sense of reward as you upgrade the tools but after play testing this game for so long with the best tools I'm not sure if I made it too hard to start with so please be vocal about your opinions as it'll help craft the final version!

Developer Updates

Aug 30, 2010 2:31pm

1) Got rid of lots of the useless dialogue;
2) Slightly upgraded the first axe by making it a little stronger and take less time to dig
3) Digging is now great for the super lazy all they have to do is hold S and the game even walks you in the same direction so you can just hold S to dig long tunnels
4) Added a new โ€œstarsโ€ icon as the exclamation mark was a little weird for things like receiving items.
5) Updated the ore tiles
6) Updated the active messages to be a little clearer that you need to click

Too many dialogs with too much in, be less verbose or use a smaller font. This is a free games site - you don't ask us to pay...we reward you if your game is worthy, but then I won't be able to judge that as I'm not willing to spend the 1/2 hour getting through the beginning.
