The most in depth flash game I have played on Kong since Mardek! Fantastic game, great characters! Wish we had more decision power over the dating-sim element of the game, though! I would love to be able to converse with the characters using multiple options and build up a friendship meter or some such? I realize that would be difficult, but I really like these characters so would love to be able to make my interactions with them my own!

dude you should write a book or something the way the storyline is expressed is amazing! (should be a 10000/5 button round here, just lemme find it)

Its a shame that Learn To Fly 2 has a better rating than this game. They are not even comparable... It just proves most people are interested in shallow and dumb games.... Not that Learn To Fly 2 can't be fun, but I think it is not 1/10 the work done by xdanond making this game. Its pathetic and its a shame....

Neferiti: "Her oxidized ferrocream souffle is quite delectable." Oxidized Ferrocream = Iron Rustcream. lolz these people must have high constitution. :P

Great game, my only complaint is that the story and additional dialogue, seems to be pretty long. There were times it felt like I clicked forever, and ultimately ended up just skipping everything after getting the basic parts. I'm not saying it should be removed, but maybe trimmed down.

Great work Zdanond, it was a wonderful game with a beautiful story. I really liked the existential messages throughout - especially in all the wonderful endings. Great work :D

Can you just change the background of the jungle maze level? It is not easy to distinguish the bullets from the background and the foreground.

just beat the "new game plus" at lvl149. i dont know what lvl it will stop at =\
is there even a lvl cap? this game got a 5/5 from me. spent about 6 hours or so playing it the first time thru, reading everything and grinding when needed. only played on normal, but last boss is even more of a P.I.T.A. the second time thru. love the music, the story is top notch, i think people should be able to vote on the ending of "no wish" since it is the best one there is.

why does this game have to be beaten by an overrated launcher game for the monthly contest.
I really thought this game would win.
Couldn't kongregate just wait next month to enter the other game into the monthly contest?

Looks lize Ezra from the anime Fairy Tail in the loading screen. The snail looks like Maplestory or Spongebob. Awesome game

Loved the soundtrack, fantastic piano pieces. Thanks for giving the MP3s Auriplane.
And let me tell you right now, this is the kind of game that reminds me why I love RPGs in the first place. Story, characters, dialog, customization, gameplay, music, atmosphere, it all makes me sink into this game. I know it is not for everyone, but for the many of us that enjoy this genre, it's a blast.

I wish there was a sixth star to rate this! The story was the best I've seen in a long time. Great job with the balance between combat and talking. Keep up the good work and try to make your other games like this!

Really can't say I have seen a game on kong with a better story than this one. The deepness of the plots make me speechless. The combat may not be the best, but it is barely the focus anyway. Really appreciate all these efforts into the rich story, and the amazing music as well. To conclude, a legendary project, words cannot fully express its greatness.

This game is worthy of so much more than 5 stars! A clear masterpiece that has clearly had much more effort put in to it's creation than most other flash games out there.

man i can't believe a game got this high rated off of it's storyline. Its got elements that just don't fit with a shooter such as terrain that i can hit and enemies can go through. I honestly lost half of my health because i thought that the terrain was passable like it is everywhere else in these types of games.

This game has the best storyline I have seen out of any flash game. It is one of the best, and I can see why it is epic. This game's storyline is equal to, maybe even surpassing, of the Mardek series. Without a doubt, this game is EPIC. A sequel would be awesome as well.

I know this is an odd comment to make. But I actually dare say that my favorite ending is the one you did not let us vote for. The bad ending. While it was bittersweet, seeing a certain two siblings being able to live out their lives as humans was touching, even if they didn't remember anything from before. It was sorta oddly hopeful for the bad ending in a videogame.

This is one good game - although the gameplay is a bit repetitive, it has a nice length, an imaginative story and the endings are just beautiful. I followed the advice of redoing the boss for the different endings, and that was very good. 5/5. If possible I would rate [insert huge number here]/5, but alas, I cannot. Sequel please, but I'm not sure how the story would go

The dialogue is boring and stretches on and on and on and sounds, stilted, like a play written by a fourth grader, everything is a harsh abrupt statement, the characters take the same poses too often, but so far the rest of the game is great.

By far,one of the best RPG games I've ever played,if not the best.No other storyline has ever made me feel...well,sad.Brilliant storyline, amazing battles, and very addictive.I want to play it again.Oh,and to all you haters-why?Just why you gotta hate on a brilliant game?!

The first thing I did after finishing the game was rate it 5/5...at some points the game seemed a littel grindy, but it certainly wasn't unbearable (it could also be that I just suck at side scrolling shooters haha). The story drove the whole gram beautifully, the characters so well crafted. At first I was only interested in Ginny and Tessa's stories, but the longer I played the more I started to care for all the other characters. Music was amazing as well (:

very nice storyline, decent fighting, only think you could improve on save system, maybe multiple files and save after each mission, oh and have the endings accessible once you unlock them
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bah. Spent a whole evening and morning to get all endings, got the endings, but somehow the save-file didn't work. I even made a copy of it... ah well. Great game! :-)

This game is a perfect argument that video games can be art. It has moved me as much as even the artiest film, and judging by the comments I'm not alone in that. You should be proud of what you've accomplished, xdanond.

Meaning I would definitely love a sequel, and I wouldn't mind paying one or two dollars to play the sequel (if you make one), as long as the standards you have set here are at the very lest kept to, if not pushed forward due to a (possibly) larger budget. Meaning I would LOVE to see a longer game with a larger story, better level design (having enemies hiding right behind a wall is EXTREMELY annoying) and more, larger, pilotable ships. Possibly even a fleet to command would be nice.
Thank you.

My only gripe with this game is the second last map (the ice one with the thin walls) is... buggy at times with it's layout, sometimes I would get stuck in a wall, and I'd have to restart the level, rather annoying.
Otherwise, it's a great game that (explores?) a philosophy that has made me think. This philosophy conveys an excellent message making the main gripes I had about this game fade, mixed with an excellent story this is a game I wouldn't mind having to pay one or two dollars for, as long as the level-design was better (I don't mean about the background image vs foreground image, those are fine and the cheapness of it gave me a laugh, but I quickly discarded thoughts about that. what I mean is how the level is layed out, where the enemies come onto screen, oh and a larger enemy variety would be better (djinni/efreet type enemies? of course not the djinni/efreet themselves, but drones tailored to them and art styles tailored to them would be nice).

Sad it is, but I feel it is better for Ginny to die. Even if I wish she lived. I can appreciate proper tragedy too. There are plenty of happy endings to choose if you are into those. And yes, Ginny is my favourite.

Wow!
I love the story... feeling like I am right there fighting for my friends. Thanks for this game and although it took away tons of my time, I am considering the "Plus" round now :)

The only one game i rated 5/5 'till now :) i like the graphics, the story is so absorbing... i thought it was short and easy after some stages instead i soon found it's so full of of other places and difficulty grows with gameplay. Good characters, so much defined and well made music ^__^

I can truthfully say that I am at a loss for words at this game. This game does so much more than other leading games. It gives a strong and compelling story with characters to match. I believe all that I can truly say is bravo for all other words are lost at this masterpiece of a game that I briskly walked through. It gave enough challenge in what I almost considered mini-games to the truly breathtaking story. Won my heart over, won my respect over, won my time over. Thank you. (and if that doesn't sound like the corniest thing ever I don't know what would, but I can't help myself.) =p

You should be snatched up by any huge game company. Simply put, I can tell a lot went into this game for you. Easily better than many, many mainstreamed, large budget blockbuster games. The depth of the story and dialogue is simply amazing. This isn't just a game, but a story that is very well developed and could easily be made into a movie/manga. I... just too many words. Kudos.
