If you don't want some of the endings to be spoiled don't go through the comments+so people won't have the endings spoiled by looking at the comments of the people who posted them.

Tip for starters: Machgun is preferably used in tight spaced missions like the asteroid field, for example. And preferably use the Spread gun for maps with many attackers and more space like fortress city.

Absolutely brilliant masterpiece and simply EPIC! 5/5 except for the weapons lab (too much redundancy). I just wonder how many endings there are? So far: 1. No Wish 2. Johnny -> end his existance together with Starwish 3. Swig -> Gets his planet back, stops drinking & gets a family 4. Tessa: And they lived happily ever after 5. Ginny: Still alive on a "pre-FTL" planet named earth, Deuce leaves everything behind and thy also live happily ever after (for what's left of Ginny's live). Any more?

the highest ending becoming cannon means it will be default, and what you get for completing the game, I my self voted for ginny's, its a sad ending, and as you guess, what you learn from the story isn't reversible,
ps to get ginny's ending, you carn't die at all, after the first mission of course (but includes iblis)
all in all good game

@xdanond It seems there is a story flaw: The wishing star shuttered because she used the wish of Deuce: “I wish there were no more wishes”.
After that the Star Fragments were given no Pirate Lords, Swig gave his fragment to Tessa’s mother to study it. Then Neferity came to the lab, Deuce fought with her, cried that he wanted the lab to blow – and later Neferity burned the lab. And only then Deice wished to stop wishes - which should have caused the Star to shutter.
Can you somehow fix it? :)
Anyway, the story is great.

Also, a tip for beating Iblis: When he's at 100%, he's pretty much a joke. Equip the laser or whatever hard-hitting primary and the missiles and just fire away at a blind spot. Don't bother dodging any of the bullets or lasers, they shouldn't even hurt you by now if you've stacked health and shield/regen mods. Once he blocks a blind spot with a orb, just find another one and fire away. You should get him to 50% well before he blocks all of them.
50% health: He'll now start to fire a large laser that actually inflicts quite some damage. Dodge this, and use the Wave Cannon to shoot at him. I say to use the Wave Cannon because it can actually shoot THROUGH all the orbs Iblis should have up by now. This makes a difficult battle ridiculously easy.

The writing for this game is absolutely spectacular, the addicting shooter felt just like a side game in comparison to the story. Also, are there only 3 endings? How many is there exactly? Because I only got Johnny, Swig, and Terra.

Ok, that does it. The game is undoubtly cheating/bugged. I nearly killed firebolt after 30 or more attempts on the hard difficulty on first mission. Suddenly I died while overcharge beam was still active. Immortal my ass, 1/5.

can you make it so,yeah this game carries on from the last depending on the ending you get here, like,a code you get at the endings so you can put it in on the next if there IS a next one?

make the weapon shop so that it doesnt offer similar weapons of same level. its kinda frustrating when u cant buy the newest high level weapon because it doesnt show up in the shop even after 5 levels. also agree with xathil that the game get repetitive in 2nd map. why do we have to fight the same set of 10 bosses 3 times? lost of potential anyway and 4/5

I think someone was asking whether it was possible to take down the Firebolt ship during the Prologue; I just wanted to let everyone know that it is possible just very difficult. I'm sorry if I misspelled it.

hey dev have you played the visual novel red shift? i see a lot of similar plot lines in this game.
more notably: ginny giving her life force to deuce at the cost of her own.

Meh. the storyline is great but the actual gameplay is repetitive and boring. same old enemy sprites, different stats yay... I enjoy the fact you put plenty of thought into the storyline and character development but when you actually PLAY the game... its LACKING.

Highest voting = canon? Can anyone explain to me what this means? - still hasn't been answered. Please, can someone tell me?

Kind of put off by Deadeye's ending. She justifiably didn't want to be pitied, she was blind and awesome. But of course he uses his pity wish, and she gains her sight and they have this adorable little mundane family cell, bleh.
Still, great storyline, even if the game itself could use a bit of smoothing out. The hit boxes are a bit off sometimes, and when you use overdrive you can get stuck inside an obstacle.

Simply put, this is one of my favorite games. If this was ever made into a console game, I would gladly buy it and spend many a hours on it (given that it had expanded of course). The storyline was absolutely amazing, and, in the end, left me in tears. Bravo man, 5/5.

I really enjoyed this R(PG?)-Type/Gradius game. I am in the minority about the story though, perhaps more specifically the text. I know this was the main focus of the game and how you got started in the first place, but I just felt like I was wading through all the story and information instead of actually playing. I became encumbered with line after line of character interaction and wound up skipping roughly 95% of it. That said, the text I did read made sense and I didn't roll my eyes or think it was corny, it just overwhelmed me and I wanted to play. All in all, a fun unique shooter with a nice upgrade system!

I Finished this game, and I NEED MORE STARWISH! SO AMAZING! I haven't been invested in characters this much in a LONG time. It feels great to play a game with this kind of writing, the relations between these characters are impossible to recreate. this game has a permanent place in my heart, and a permanent place in my favorites. Thank you, xdannond, for producing something that with be forever in my mind as one of the best written games I've ever played, even over most console games. the characters are amazing, the story is incredible. My ONLY complaint about this game is that the levels get a bit repetitive.
I NEED A SEQUEL.

Wonderfully planned game with engaging dialogue and a nice light hearted slight romance touch.
The action is as expected, with some weapons being innovative and unique.
Only resentment: Ginny. Ginny > all the other girls in my opinion ;)
Keep it up! :D

I have been clicking through dialogue for a solid five minutes now with no gameplay of any kind. My knuckles are in severe pain.

Hm...Not sure if this is intentional...
*Spoiler alert!!!!*
Is the "I have no wish" ending not one of the endings to be voted on? I really want to vote on that one if possible!
*end spoiler*

This game was truly amazing. My all time favorite. I want a sequel for sure. I could not stop playing this game! My favorite character was Ginny and I wished she would have stayed with the crew in the end. It would be cool to incorporate Ginny into the sequel, but I don't think that will happen. Nonetheless it was a fantastic game and I loved it! 5/5 (>^.^)>

I would like to be able to watch the endings again after they are unlocked. It is annoying to take some minutes to kill Ilbis again when I want to rewatch the endings.

Darn it! You ruined may last two nights! ;) And I thank you for it. Thank you for spending 16 months on creating a masterpiece of a story. I honestly did not like the first dialogue with Ginny on the surface of the planet. To me it felt a little too long. I think I was just expecting more action like other games on Kong. But after that, I started really getting sucked into the story and the shooting part became almost a hassle I had to put up with to be able to read the next stage of the story line.
Is there any way you can create an online story book of some sorts? Maybe an e-book? I will pay to read the variations of the story. I don't think I can play the shooting scenes just to read the other story lines. Takes too much time. :(
Anyway, thanks for creating an amazing game. And of course, 5/5 :)

this game is very heart warming and a good game. if you think about it it give you great information to apply. be careful what you wish for, because in the end it may come true in ways you may not expect. life is short make the best of it. all things considered thins game has helped me realize what i already knew but never acknowledged, and something are for the better. i hope more of you realize this from the game and take some of the deeper meaning and less obvious ones from this game and appreciate and use them.
